Resetting PIN on 2nd Sky box

Was trying to add additional channels. Went to open the list, but was prompted for a PIN. Tried 0000 as it tends to be the default pin on a lot STBs. Only 2 attempts remaining. The place where I bought it second hand obviously won't know who sold it them in the first place.

Looking online the solution appears to involve calling Sky and answering security questions etc. and providing account numbers, which leaves me in a pickle.

Are there any other workarounds?

Try the last 4 digits on the viewing card.
