Sticking brake calliper in Dc5 type IS

One of my front brake calipers is not releasing and overheated last night. I removed the caliper with the some help today and it appears to be seized or partially. When we removed the bleed screw the caliper would still not release. I have heard this this is quite a common problem with EP3 Type R civics.

Is there anything I can do to free up the caliper or repair it, bearing in mind that we couldn't close the cylinder fully with a vice.

If replacement is necessary, is there any other European Hondas with the same calipers (Accord) etc. The disc appears to be 255 diameter roughly

    Thanks in advance

I suggest you get your existing one reconditioned (if you can live without the car for a while) or get do a swap. I've used http://www.biggred.co.uk/ and a swap to get two new rear caliper for my Accord. Cost was £80 for the pair and £20 shipping.
