Air Lingus - can names be changed on tickets?

    A friend doesnt know if he will be well enough to travel in Sept and someone else can take his place then IF he can change names.

    Is it possible to do with Aer Lingus and/or Ryan Air?
    Fees?

    Yes definetly possible alright! With Aer Lingus it's €40 to change name on a short haul flight (UK and Europe) and its €100 on a long haul (America)
    It's possible on Ryanair aswell although I'm not sure of the price a name change, I've a feeling it's €110
