    Hi,
Can anybody recommend an e-bay type website specifically for antiques?
Or, do most people just use e-bay?
    Thanks a mill

Depends what you're trying to sell/buy. Is it something specialised e.g. railwayana, furniture etc? There are various specialist online auction salerooms and if you let us know what you're interested in selling/buying somebody will point you in the right direction. eBay is always a good place to start as more or less everything can be found there. :)

Should be enough there to keep you busy for a while. :D

Although I havent bought through this site , I do like to browse through it from time to time. http://www.trocadero.com/

From what I can see most items look to be genuine and some respected dealers sell here. But you would be aswell to have some self-confidence buying Oriental items from the net.
There is no vetting process as far as I can see.

Ebay is hit and miss - plenty of fakes in all fields.

My favourite place of all is http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb to look through and check the auction rooms throughout the Uk and Ireland etc.
