Another sh*te performance against a sh*t team. This is the worse Arsenal team since Wenger joined. The consistency of this type of effort this season is disgraceful. I hate watching them.

Trying to win a game and bringing on Gerv says it all really

Happy fcuking new year Arsene new year same sh*te

Sagna was a disgrace. I want to see our passing %, no doubt it will be miles lower than average, the amount of passings that were > 5 yards off the mark was ridiculous.

Having Gervinho and Giroud on the same pitch just screams of senile Wenger. Gervinho hasn't crossed the ball once this season. Not even once.

Completely inept performance couldn't pass for toffee; what most worried me though was the ease with which Southampton waltzed through our midfield. It really needs toughening up if we are going to challenge

    Cazorla for ramsey LOL
In fairness Cazorla didn't bother his hole today. He should have been subbed sooner

Cazorla had 3rd/4th game this year where hes looked like Ryan Giggs' older brother, he shouldn't be immune from criticism and substitutions when hes playing like poison.

Why didn't he bring Rosicky on, he might have created something as he has a football brain unlike some of them.

Southampton have improved big time as the season has gone on. You dont see the whippings they were getting early on anymore. Getting a 1-1 draw while playing shite and away from home isnt a bad result against any team. It's not a great result, but it isnt as bad as is no doubt going to be made out in the next few days.

Well bring on rosicky if that's the case.

We're seriously lacking in the quality to give us other options when first choice players aren't performing. And we're seriously lacking in something to keep first team players performing to the standards that they should be able to achieve.

    that was a lame performance.

not too bothered about the result though, s'oton are improving.

That doesn't explain the bad passing, not closing down, lack of effort and being last to every breaking ball though.

Rosicky was the shout for Cazorla at the time.

Sagna, Cazorla, Walcott, Chamberlain, Podolski and Giroud when he came on all had mares.

Was Gervinho this bad in France? He'd be lucky to get a start at a Championship team the way he's playing.

I'd agree Rosicky would have been better, was more defending the taking off of Cazorla

Some people here are so ridiculous, after the last few games you were raving and then one bad performance and everything is s**t again. The team is good, there's no game changers to come on. Taking Cazorla off was a mistake although he was tired, we just rely to heavily on him for creativity.

A lot of over reacting and things are nowhere near as bad as some people think. Some people react way too quickly. Hopefully there will be some good signings in January, squad needs more quality rotation.

It really is though the result and performance is pants, tbh more the effort and performance for me than the draw

Where was Rosicky today? Was he on the bench? If he was then it's shambles he wasn't brought on.

Very disappointing performance but unsurprising. Despite the results recently we've still been pretty poor. Definitely need to change things around, the midfield just doesn't seem to be working. It's going to be a real battle to get fourth this year.

EDIT: I see he Ros was on the bench, disgrace

That was piss poor from us today.

10 points out of 12, what's everyone moaning about :)

    Edit : it's actually 13/15 were fooking flying :)

I agree that we were crap (at least from what I seen) but a draw against a much improved side while playing so crap and away from home is not a bad result. I'm talking about the result rather than the performance. If Man United had played that badly and gotten a point they'd be praised for their fighting spirit yada yada yada. The performance was crap but we got a decent result in spite of it.

From some of the posts here you'd think we had lost 57-0 or something.

When United play crap they still create chances though. In that game Southampton looked much more dangerous throughout. With 10 minutes to go you'd expect us to push for the win but that didn't really happen.

Pretty flippant use of the word 'disgrace' by some here.

Losing 2-0 at home to Swansea this year was a disgrace. A 1-1 away to Soton where we barely had a kick is not.

You have it right there were not creating chances we need a proper attacking midfielder and a big central midfielder this window
