    Hello everyone.

I'm thinking of getting my cars ECU remapped for better performance, particularly take off. It's a large car with a 2.5 turbo powered petrol engine.

Is the extra pressure going to jeapardise anything? And... has anyone got any recommendations if that's ok with the mods.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers SuperGurrier, it's a five cylinder Volvo V70 2.5 T 2008.

Same engine as the Ford Focus ST, but not as manic... detuned if you will with a lot less compression on the turbo.

I'd like a little bit more bang, everybody loves a sleeper, but I really really don't want to risk breakdown, nor do I want to spend over €300.

I wouldn't worry that motor is good for 300bhp easily tbh, a remap should get it over 250bhp anyway

As for specialists for them im not sure, dreamscience do the stratagem handset for the ST but not sure if that would work on a volvo, maybe dar83 or mik_the_man might know more than me as im a technical noob

OK, I had a feeling the car could handle a bit of thump. Thanks a million for your input. I will obviously keep an eye on the thread.
