Just reading a conversation arseblog, Tom Payton and a few others ate having on twitter now

They reckon the club upped the offer and when ya include bonus's theo would be getting 110k a week

Where does it end what does he think he is worth, fcuk that leave him off. with a couple of signings and a fully fit squad I don't see him starting anyway

Blogger made a good point this morning too. What we've offered Theo is good enough for Jack, Cazorla and Podolski. But not good enough for Theo. Bad agent IMO.

In all honesty I think he would when he actually performed but my problem is most of the time I feel he wouldnt improve Arsenal instead he infuriate me with inept performances as I know he does many a United fan.

Nani is one of the most consistent players in the league with regards to assists and goals. Wingers aren't the type of players who are going to beat 3 players and put in a perfect cross everytime, because beating 3 players and put in a perfect cross is something they are asked to do quite a lot. The position is very difficult to play and Nani is 2 footed, a great crosser most of the time and a good finisher.

Think of all the wingers in the league and what they do. There'd be a case for calling every single one of them inconsistent if you were pushed to do so. Nani scores or assists in a huge percentage of games and I for one would be sickened to see him leave, let alone go to a team in the Premier League. He's better than any other winger at United and would make Arsenal far more threatening as I think he'd link up greatly with Sagna.

i`d say he did nt want to be seen to be a dick celebrating in front of his new clubs fans - he`s on his way ;)

Looking at his goal scoring record to be honest its not to impressive at all, sure he has 1 assist and 2 goals this season his most prolific season he socred ten in all competitions from all the sources ive checked Podolski who has been playing on the left for us this season is just short of that already jesus even Gervinho aint far off that and hes been useless majority of the season. Assists its harder to find stats for online. Also for me its not him beating three players everytime and getting a good cross in its attitude and his knack for dissappearing in games to the point you nearly forget hes on the pitch yes he can be superb but mostly hes not. For me personally id never want to see him in Arsenal shirt, I also know quite a few United fans who would watch him play every week who have no problem seeing him leave United.

But in all honesty I think its a bit of a non starter as I cant ever see it happening.

    Everton v Chelsea.

What result is best for Arsenal?

I think a Chelsea win is best as I believe Everton and Spurs are our main challengers for 4th position. I don't think we will be any higher this season as we have not reached Wenger's target at this stage. I think we are in a 3 way battle for fourth.

They've just announced on sky that Ba is meeting with Chelsea tonight?!

Did anyone really think Wenger would go for the obvious logical signing.

Wouldn't surprise me. They've been peeping at our shopping list for years now.

nope. there's probably a kid somewhere in france who might be the next Gervinho that we're going to shell out 12m on.

I'm sure what happened was that when Ba's knock down price was announced we were interested until his 90k a week wage was dropped in. Yet again our shocking waste on high wages for ****e players (50 - 60k a week for example) and our refusal to pay the wages for proven performers holds us back.
Number 1 priority for the club has to be to clear the sh1te from the wage bill

Sure haven't we lads coming back from injury
I am sure Diaby could play centre forward in a jiffy.

To an extent i'd support wenger for allowing a player the chance to return to fitness. However Diaby's just never going to be able to play consistently in a league as physical as the PL. He should be binned.

If our squad was big and robust i'd not be worried about missing out on Ba. But it's neither big or robust. Because we've got an injury prone squad and we're tight as **** cashwise Ba and his knees represent something of a risk in the mind of the arsenal board i'm sure. However we've spent big on upgrading the medical facilities and Ba's 2 years without injury. For 7m he's a steal.

Ba will bang the goals in for Chelsea, and they'll have a decent tilt at the title.

How much would Shane Long cost??

Maybe we're getting Villa instead :pac:

If Walcott can keep this form and sign a new deal, I'd be happy enough with him and Giroud up top with Podolski as third choice. Get another striker then in the summer. Ba is really the only option now due to his release fee. Anyone else worthwhile would be too expensive, especially in January.

The Henry talk is back as well.

Walcott can play anywhere along the front as he showed yesterday by scoring and supplying from the left, right and middle. He and Giroud will make a fine partnership, I don't think he'll leave.
I am more worried by our defence and the poor performances of our left backs. If we addressed this area I would be happy. Gibbs was not entirely at fault yesterday either before anyone starts.

Yeah I actually didn't see enough/the right replays to figure out what happened for the goals at his post but there seemed to be a yawning chasm where perhaps Podolski should've been.

I've still got time for gibbs as he's only a young un, but Santos is a shocker and Meade is too small imo :D
We defo need a LB. Baines is too much to hope for, but i'd love him.

For the second goal he did the right thing and stuck to his man. He cant be expected to mark two players. Nobody picked up Marveaux.

I agree with this as long as Walcott is signing a new contract if not Wenger will have to buy a CF. If Walcott stays for me id be looking to sign a winger, an imposing midfielder and a LB.

I read today we have been linked with a ten million move for Baines would love it but I agree we will more than likely get the 17 year old shaw to be Gibbs understudy future replacement.

We should give podolskiu a chance up front. i reckon he is as deadly as a finisher as walcott

That's just a tad disingenuous don't you think. young players need to be brought in for one thing and for another Wenger has brought in plenty of established experienced players with his recent dealings.

I'd like to see Giroud and Walcott playing together up front. Match made in heaven I reckon.
