That's true but i don't think financially i could even afford to do a spark plug change on a V12 the way things are in this country, spark plugs alone you are talking 150 quid :p

Grab the cheap luxobarges / performance cars while you can lads. Tax is ONLY €1800p.a. on them now, in a couple of years time the only people who will be able to afford to run them are the original owner.

That or buy a big ass classic. ;)

Yes mate, it was for sale on there. The rx8 forum is starting to get busy over there now.

I'm not really measuring but about 350k to a full tank, which is about 60L. Its pretty bad as I have a short commute.

Still tho the reason rx8's are such good value is the poor economy, I made my choice and am happy with it.

I'm of the opinion that calculating MPG goes against what it means to own a performance car. I never bothered with it, I just drive my car how I want when I want and fill it when needs be. Life's too short to be worrying about mpg.....

    .....and engine flooding :P

Fuel consumption on my impreza is something I choose to ignore, don't drink, smoke or gamble.. I just like hearing my money explode with a flat four rumble!

Yeah the Rex does a really good job of turning petrol into large amounts of heat and noise and a little bit of power.

Here's my car, it's my first. :o It's an '02 Mercedes A140L (long wheel base variant). The W168 is sort of the black sheep of the Merc family but I quite like it. I've a bit more tidying up left to do though. It needed some TLC when I got it.

Yeah, I suppose it is. I'm pretty tall (6'5") so wanted something that was comfortable for me. It's got a lot of head and leg room so that worked. The insurance isn't so bad either compared to other similar sized hatches.

I've found it good so far for learning. It's quite easy to maneuver. Got the test in a month so I'll see how that goes with it. :pac:

Thanks. Little bit of the customary early 00's Merc rust on the arches that I'm gonna sort but otherwise it's quite clean.

My test's around the same time so we can compare then. Haha
I had to sort a bit of rust on my Almera too, it happens with most cars eventually. :)

Do we start a new thread for 2013 pics, then ?

I just came across pics of mine, moving stuff to a new PC, so thought I'd add a couple........

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
