I really hope we don't sign Nani. I've disliked some arsenal players but he'd be the first one I properly hate if we sign him.

I still hate the little cnut from the time he juggled the ball when they were hammering us. He wanted to rub our faces in it. Hope we don't sign the prat.

My personal feelings aside about Nani, I still dont want him at Arsenal yeh he can be a tremendous footballer at time but hes far to inconsistent and we have enough players like that already at Arsenal.

With our injury record, he'll score on his debut and break both his legs doing that stupid somersault.

I'd take him no problem, if Wenger got the best out of him he'd do a great job as one of our wide front three

    We won't sign him anyhow

Nani would be a huge step up over Walcott.
    Couldn't see it happening though.

I'm sure van Persie was not Mr. Popular in Manchester before his move, but they didnt have any issues with signing him. Likewise I'd have no issues with signing Nani. He is a quality player and gets a crap load of assists as well as his fair share of goals. Assuming its a reasonable fee, I'd happily take him.

He looks like a player who wants to stay. I don't get what the hold up is.

Just give him whatever money he wants.

Is that a goodbye lap of honour?

I do agree although I also thought the same thing about your man playing for Manchester now. Hopefully he signs soon.

Great win today. Delight Oxo got a goal but think he was poor enough until then. Gibbs was awful and was at fault for 2 goals. Theo was amazing. That last finish was pure class.

Cant remember who was giving out last week about Wengers defensive subs but they hope they come back and applaud him this time for bringing on Giroud

Bloody auld Cup game next week to break up our good run. I'd prefer if we had a league match.

I thoroughly expect him to leave during this transfer window. Can we even sell him now? When the window opens up, can't he sign a pre-season agreement with another club?

That was bonkers stuff, glad we came out on the right side of it

We definitely need some major surgery on our defence. Better teams will murder us if we defend like that.

    With a European team

He said he is not leaving in this window.

But there's nothing him stopping him signing a pre-season contract (Or whatever you call it) with someone else?

/edited to add: Just saw Greendom's post. No chance he's leaving England. It's us or Liverpool (maybe United???)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,531 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

I'm no expert but by the way he talked there in the after match interview, it sounded like Theo is planning on sticking around.

no offence to liverpool but there's no reason for him to go there during their rebuilding project which will take a couple of years at least.

Don't read too much into it, Theo is a smart guy and won't show his hand in anyway to the public. He does seem to be enjoying himself though which is a good thing.

Also i hope we sign Demba Ba, he was quality out there today. Would be great choice to have with Giroud, Walcott and himself.

Coq & Ramsey on at 4-3 would most certainly have been suicide today :D
