Only 1 of the 5 players he has signed has made the match day squad today. On the bench.

    Stop trotting out excuses.

Borini has a broken foot, Allen is too lightweight to play against Stoke and Sahin has been a major disappointment.

I'm not defending his signings. However, given the transfer policy u-turn by the owners and the club's demise in recent years, I don't think he was ever going to able to attract players of a sufficient calibre to improve the team.

He needs more time and the backing of the owners.

I've no faith left. I didn't even make it past the first part of that long interview he gave last week before turning it off. He was asked a few questions which he completely bull****ted or sidestepped. I fully admit now I think I was wrong about him and I now think he's a complete bull****ter. I don't like him, results are awful and I just don't think he's not up to the job. We can talk all day about the changing philosophy and how long it takes but he shows no tactical acumen to make me believe. Even the substitutions of Allen and Sterling last week were very strange. The results are disgraceful for the players at his disposal.

Benitez gets 6 years of unquestioning support and you won't even give Rodgers 6 months. You, sir, are a hypocrite.

I'd be absolutely amazed if Suarez is at Liverpool next season.

Benitez won a European cup in his first season and brought in some top class spanish talent

Just look at the fixtures coming up after QPR away and Sunderland home. We desperately need to win our next two league games, which i can't see happening, because we are likely to lose the three after them. Wouldn't be surprised if QPR beat us the way we are playing.

    Shhit times.

Pathetic stuff, Suarez the only real player who can hold his head up.

    Season half over.

    19 games in - 6 wins & 25 points.

He also had a top four team to work with in fairness.

No Plan B and to honest, Plan A wasnt anything to write home about.

I know he's had his critics but Andy Carroll would have given us a different dimension tonight, a dimension we could have done with.

    this is exactly it.

his lack of adaptability or tactical nous in difficult situations is making me lose my patience.

Absolutely!... I find myself tuning right out of what he has to say- its a crock of shït tbh.

I said it back in Sept that it will go sour quicker than milk if/when the players see through Rodgers, and the sad thing is that the owners have bought 100% into this philosophy and built everything we see on these shaky foundations.

They should have stuck with the great advice they got about putting in the proper DOF and structures, and not have let Rodgers convince them otherwise.

When this comes tumble down we will find ourselves in a vacuum and ta fück we won't know where to turn or what to do.

    Amateurish at best.

i like rodgers but he's going to have to sign a few players in january, buy players that are a threat to the opposition, fellas that like to have a shot at goal, not the crab sideways passers like allen or workhorses like borini, just look at utd, they have a pants defence but just score more than their opponents

Sturridge is the last straw for Rodgers. If he fails, Rodgers is a gonner. With all those youngsters he's introduced, we should be seeing his new footballing philosophy. He should be stamping his beliefs on them. Sadly he's not. I'm not seeing anything different from last year.

and to be fair, right now, he'd be a bit dim to stay much longer than the summer.

some serious work needs to be done to prove he should stay.

The worrying thing is we seem very easy to get at as a team.

The way we play leaves us open to getting some heavy beatings.

If I were him, I'd leave.

    We're going nowhere.

He has been completely wasted since joining us. Would have been great to see him with Torres, but we have given him zero support up front for 2 years now, absolute joke.

This is the first time I have seen stoke play this season and I wish Liverpool would play more like that. Press the ball more, make the other team work hard to keep it. Infact is that what Rodgers wanted this team to do? If so we are a long way off it.

    Still don't like Pulis though..

If we draw against qpr then I had the haul for ths series of matches nailed. Reverse the villa and west ham results above.

How did anyone expect anything but a loss away to stoke the day after Christmas?

I was surprised how carried away people were getting about these five matches. Nothing suggested the 13 to 15 points people were hoping for.

What players? Apart from Johnson, Skrtel, Suarez and Lucas at a push, who'd get into the Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United or Man City teams?

The squad is mid-table/top 8 at best, its as simple as that.

Rodgers may be a good manager but he is not the man to turn our fortunes around ugh this squad.
He needs funds to improve the team and after the summer it doesn't look likely he will get them. His signings so far haven't been great either. Only Allen can really be termed a mild success.
Depressing years in the wilderness ahead I think.
We need a left back- Enrique is a brainless goon.
We need a keeper- Reina doesn't look like he can turn his form around
We need a centre back- Skrtel has had one good year and the rest of the time he has been average. Should of took City's hand off.
We need a right back. -Johnson concentration and decision making is terrible. Great going forward but can really take too much out of the ball. At times doesn't look interested.
    Striker- need at least one
Winger/wide player- need at least one. Downing isn't good enough.
Midfielder- need at least one gerrard is winding down, Henderson isn't good enough now, Shelvey needs to be loaned out

The squad is in a dire state. We are relying on youth far too much.
