Its Christmas Eve. I've 30 odd pre-packaged sambos that don't expire till the 25th/26th. I've no car. I live in Leixlip.

How do I get this food into hungry hands?

Bus? Taxi? Bike? Walk? Get a friend to give you a lift?

Get in touch with homeless shelters, hop on the good auld 66 or the train even. Many many people sitting on the streets of Dublin tonight that would greatly appreciate your generous offer.

Ring around to homeless shelters in your area, I'm sure they would be more than happy to collect!

Why didn't you PM in the first place rather than posting so everyone could see how brilliant you are? Or better yet get your own sambos to hand out rather than piggybacking on someone else's generosity. :pac:

DJFlin is going to get some good karma from this, Jay D shouldn't be trying to hog some of that karma.

Offering to spend your Christmas Eve driving around handing out food to the homeless I think you'll find is a very generous thing. Whether the offer was made publicly or privately makes no difference.

Can I hire you if I ever need a private detective?

My cynicism may have been mis-directed but is justified. :p

Best of luck with it. You should find a few of the homeless in Temple Bar, O'Connell Street, Westmoreland Street, Grafton Street, Nassau Street, Dawson Street, and Kildare Street. Can always give them two sandwiches each if you are stuck for time, or give them each a couple and they can give some to their friends.

It is a great thing you are doing, have a Happy Christmas.
