I disagree, a simple take note in outlook wouldn't kill anyone.

For goodness sake, why don't you talk to whomever is annoying you instead of ripping a store's reputation apart in public? I get very fed up listening to the constant criticism of Irish music stores- it's irresponsible. If you genuinely have a grievance, talk to the store manager.
And that goes for all Irish Music stores. They all have good and bad points, pick your favourite.
Bear this in mind- All the stores in Dublin are working very hard to keep the business at home and to keep Irish people employed, so yes, they are overworked.
I don't know why I was copied in this message btw.

Why would anyone who's dealt with rudely ask to see the store manager? If I'm going to spend my hard earned on a luxury item and I feel I've been the given the brush off I'll vote with my wallet and leave, never to return. Retailers should be acutely aware of the proliferation of consumer review websites and the like. It's nobodies job but the retailer themselves to safeguard their reputation and the best way to do this is by providing decent service. Assuming the posters' grievance is genuine he has every right to share it with a community of liked minded people.

Plenty on this forum have spoken very highly of shopping experiences in places like DGC and music minds, and indeed xmusic if you read the thread.

People talk. It's up to the retailer what way they are talked about.

I agree. If the likes of X Music were concerned about their public reputation they would treat their customers differently than what the OP experienced (assuming it is true). There has been numerious threads about X Music here on Boards over the last few years (the majority of posts were negative).

I have long since come to the conclusion that they dont give a fcuk.

If I'm outraged by something the first thing I'm going to do is go home and complain to strangers about it

Yeah that's how stuff gets sorted

It's just like tipping for bad service in the restaurant

I've been using the local shop for strings and things lately, nice folk

    @ Halloween Jack etc

Glad to see you like DGC- Dave does a particularly good job and I love the store.
Here's the thing. Just because somebody has screwed up at work does NOT mean that the store's policy is rudeness. It means that somebody has messed up or is not good at their job. Oh that we all were perfect- we all screw up at work occasionally- especially when we're under pressure.

I completely agree with Al's comment, bad mouthing a business to somplete strangers achieves nothing. If you make a complaint you might be instrumental in improving the service. I do not condone bad customer service but I also know that X Music has an excellent customer service policy as do all the stores Dublin City.

@ Zuludelta- I would be very surprised if somebody from X Music doesn't contact you to resolve your issue and to apologise.

I am now unsubscribing from this thead
    Merry Christmas
