Is the sound gone for everyone else on the BBC?!

It's amazing how the QB position in the NFL is treated like the most coddled child in the village. No other position has any issue with alternating out, providing relief, changing up the tempo. Indeed the same is true of just about every position in any other sport, even pivotal ones like out-half in rugby. But it's magically assumed that QBs when they exit college are so fragile they can't cope with on-the-field competition.

I think outside the very elite QBs there's a huge possibility of benefit to having change-of-pace QBs if you actually bother to build up players into being mentally stronger than a new-born baby.

There's a serious lack of imagination in the NFL in terms of ulitilising the QB position to its fullest extent. It being the 'way it's always been' isn't a reason for it to be a sacred cow, but of course most coaches are so scared about their jobs that almost anything that truly rocks the boat at the most headline-friendly position is shied away from.
