Just had a nasty experience in my laguna. On pulling out the car made a loud grinding noise & then front drivers side tyre blew out. When I took the tyre off it looks like the suspension coils collapsed & ripped the tyre.

Im getting it towed this avo, just wondering if anyone has any idea of what Im looking at for the repair?

Springs are cheap as are renault shocks. You can get spurious parts in the likes of GSF Oak Road Clondalkin.

    Id price the parts there.

Oh and youll obviously need a tire too.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ive had a look around & that seems to the consensus, once nothing else is damaged.

Cheers for the heads up on the parts place. Ill look them up.

Dont suppose you have a recommendation for a garage in the ongar/clonee/dunboyne area too?

Also make sure to check your abs lines and brake hose if they run near it, they may well have got nicked. Just to be on the safe side.
After that it's a cheap fix, just done this in the girlfriends Bora, I paid 40 in a breakers for spring and shock.
