Where were you conceived?

I was reminded tonight of a Lancashire Lady I used to work with who would tell everyone she had just met,

'I were conceived in a graveyard you know'

Most people know where they were born, but do many actually know where the whole thing started, and is it something you would like to find out?

    I haven't a clue btw.

    Here is a better question...

ISN'T IT A TAD BIT FREAKY TO KNOW, OR WANT TO KNOW, WHERE ONE WAS CONCEIVED?!

Not really, it's only natural to wonder where and when the cum tadpoles swam up the fabulous tubes into the oval chamber, to meet the queen egg, and so to begin the you that's reading this right now.

So ... To know the knowledge of when and where your mam and dad did it? ... which will project an image into ones owns head!?

Maybe its just me, but no fucking thanks. I'll stick to knowing what hospital I was born in.

My old pair were on holiday in Spain 9 months before I ruined their lives, so probably there.

I always thought it was 9 months from conception to birth too but pregnancy is 40 weeks so counting back 9 months might not get to you conception date. Plus how many were actually born on due date, you may have been early or overdue. So guess if you really want to know you might have to ask but do you think your parents will know? Not necessarily!

Actually, pregnancy is 38 weeks from conception to birth (if the baby comes on time). When you're pregnant you count the weeks from the first day of your last period, even though conception won't happen until 2 weeks after this - hence them saying that pregnancy lasting 40 weeks. So before you conceive a baby you are already 2 weeeks pregnant.

I did not know this until I got pregnant. It's like a little gift to pregnant women, you get 2 weeks for free :)

9 months before I was born was my mother's 18th birthday. So I can only presume it was in the back of my dad's jeep or somewhere equally classy.

    Probably in the Canary Islands.

That's where my parents and sisters were on holiday exactly 9 months before I was born.

The Beckham's named their first child Brooklyn because he was conceived (or possibly born) in Brooklyn. I wonder what would have happened if he was conceived/born in Ahascragh.

Well, my parents anniversary is around 9 months before my birth so I have no clue, but I presume God came down and just told my mam she was pregnant because I'm a virgin conception. And I'll cut anyone who says different.

Jaysus OP, I don't know about your family but that's not exactly a question or conversation that a lot of people would like to have with their Mother.

Actually Sue Townsend satirised that a bit in the Adrian Mole books. Mole encounters an old flame who, approaching middle age, is spectacularly chavvy. Two of her kids, IIRC, are named Skegness and Bradford. Gave me a laugh.
