Thanks, but its actually filthy at the moment.

Twenty odd years of having a spotless motorbike in the army has me conditioned at this stage & I can't stand dirt on my bikes :(

tell me about it:mad: it came with a std screen that we gaffer taped to the top box, used a whole roll of the stuff, and it went flying at about 60mph on the M6 on the way home:eek: gutted as the one fitted is tinted and you cant see thru it even in daylight, off to ebay methinks. although you can ride visor up at 80mph!!

I was thinking that alright, not like a little screen on a sportsbike that you rarely look through, that's a whopper that you'd never look over / around.

A nice example, does that front end come as standard on those now? Or is it just on the S?

I don't think I'd be able to choose which one to ride.

    *head explodes*

I would have no problem choosing.

Nah, afraid not, the front end is off a gsxr750, it's pretty much a straight swap - much better forks and brakes. Fairing is standard on the S model.

No harm but that screen would cause me to crash.. No choice but to look through it. Massive.

Strange how people are so different but that's what makes the World go round I suppose! I fell in love with the Silver and Purple bike and just had to have it, The Blue and White one came later and I just couldn't part with the other one.

The RF, in two colours, we call track suit colours ;) and like Marmite, you either love 'em or hate 'em :D

The purple and silver looks great ~ I detest the Suzuki blue & white :p

Fresh from the shed! It was a fun distraction and it's turned out pretty well, IMO. The colour and graphics are a custom design adapted from other Hondas of the era. A couple of small niggley jobs to take care of here which I'll do over the next week or two but I'm surprised how well it's driving and how competent it is for an oul' yoke!

PS- it's up for sale to make way for my new project. I'm asking €800 but would consider reasonable offers.

EDIT: here's a 'before' and 'during'!!

Don't be fooled by the disc brakes, you still need to plan your braking about half a mile in advance.

Holy cage beater batman, that is a fcukin minter! Savage boike...nice garage too.

Stored in a mates garage who has a bit of room during the winter, but driven during the summer.
I'd fecken love a big garage with an electric roller door. Have a separate sort of changing room for all the gear with a dehumidifier. Must start doing the lotto again

always liked them rf900's the blue and white one looks bang up to date. pity they were out the same time as the blade as they were overshadowed somewhat. faster than a blade if my memory serves

Love being called a lad - I am 67 years young this year :D and still love 300 mile round trips on a nice early, summer Sunday morning. Also ride in the winter but only in the dry due to osteoarthritis
