Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,

Does anybody have some good sites where I can practice MCQs or slide shows anything like that. CD will be running an EMT course nationally in 2013 however its looking like a class of 50 or less. Which means only the best of the best, so I'm starting to study now for it, have all the books just need some study aids and MCQs.

    Thanks in advance.

Where are you based if you don't mind me asking?

You can try the free section on this site. That book is the course book for EMT

Don't go mad studying. Revise your first responder stuff first, a lot of the EMT skills and medications are almost identical. Anatomy would be another area that you could work on in advance, but don't go mad before the course starts.

    50 people? Wow that's a big course.

Start basic, your CPGs and medication formulary. They will assume a lot of prior based learning from your efr days.

Well compared to 130 in the last class, class as in a national training scheme, its alot smaller. Also you have to pass a pre course MCQs session at EMT level so it means you do have to study mad even before the course, pass rate is 95% compared to 80% at EFR.

Similar to OMAC too with the entry requirments, though the classes are smaller, in the range of 20ish. Pass rate for the EMT course is similar, 96.6% average since they started teaching EMTs. Compares rather favourably to the private EMT crowd ;)

I'd stick with your CPG's for the pre exam, look at your text book if you have one. Think the standard for your EMT mcq test.
