Slow down and proceed with caution with the intention of stopping.

If you're at speed, 15 metres from the lights, you have no chance of stopping in time.

In that case, rules of the road dictate you keep going.

Were it 50, you should stop, but i gun it anyway.

I have no idea how long 15 yards is.

Also, how fast am I going?

I would stop...except for road works light, red = go, so long as you can still see traffic going through from my side

Amber light = 2 more cars please!

I'm afraid that's the way it is going and multiple times I've seen cars sail through red lights, it is a regular occurence. Unfortunatley the mentality of these types of pleb drivers is if you are getting away with it, why stop. In 5 - 10 years time if the trend keeps going, traffic lights will mean nothing and it will be every driver for themselves.
