VW Golf 1.4 petrol engines

Hi there I'm interested in buying a VW Golf petrol model. I was looking at a 1.4 petrol 80ps model. I haven't had a chance to take the car for a long drive on duel carriageways and motorways. Are these engines underpowered for the car? Do they struggle on the faster roads if you want to over take and would they consume…

Hi there

in my opinion they r underpowered , heavy on juice and oil , go for 1.6 instead , take it on the motor way and see ....
