That'd be class alright. A similar level of success as Pep had too wouldn't go amiss!

i think bergkamp is gonna be oa future manager

Looking good in terms of Arsenal on TV. Our next 3 are on Sky. The West Ham game isn't (unless Setanta Ireland have it?), then our next 6 are on Sky/ESPN (unscheduled cup matches not included).

Never before have we had a player that when I see he's in the starting line-up I suddenly feel like I just don't want to watch the game anymore.

    And then we signed Gervinho.

Seriously, wtf does Wenger see in him?!

Besides his reflection in his forehead of course.

Thats not a forehead thats a fivehead.. but ye he is terrible he runs 40 yards up the line stop and passes the ball back 30 yards to the full back and kills the whole move...that really grinds my gears

The main problem with him, and its a pretty serious one for a professional footballer, is that he can't kick the ball. Every time he shoots, he scuffs, slices, scoops or shins the ball. Even the rare time when he gets one on target, by and large it's a fluke.

    Shocking player.

Still offers more on the left wing than podolski.

    Disagree strongly.

ye i agree and even though he offers more it is still not enough

    Disagree strongly.

At least he tries to take on players and pins the
Full back to his own half.podolski just passes it back to our left back, every time.

I think podolski is a good player, but not on the wing,he should be given a chance up front.

To be honest, I'd rather see Mannone on the wing than Gervinho.

You're right though, he does take players on. But 99% of the time it leads to a dispossession.

That's not true,he set up a goal only last week after beating 3 players.

He is bad but not as much as 99% his play comes to nothing.

Gervinho is decent at going past people.

But the problem comes when once he does that he can't pass or shoot to anywhere near the standard even a semi-professional footballer would be expected to.

I just think we have a bit more directness with him on the wing and not podolski, just seems to be more tempo in our attack.

That's the thing though. It's the going past part that is the hard bit, and the rarest quality of those three.

It is baffling that he can't seem to do at least one of the others a bit better though, but he should improve.

He looks better overall this season than the last one.

The game against West Ham is still not confirmed, as there's a possibility of a strike from London Underground

next monday there's a vote, so if they strike chances are it'll be called off

+ It's not on setanta either from what i can see

I thought Gervinho had a rather good game.

There's this ongoing narrative amongst our supporters that Gervinho is the cause of all our woes. I'm not against criticising the guy, because he does deserve it at times, but after that game I don't understand why he's being singled out in this thread. He worked his socks off and created arguably our best chance of the game.

Exactly as I said,he offers much more on the wing than podolski,I thought we looked much more direct when he was in the side the last 2 games,I don't think its a coincidence.

As far as I can tell, that's the pnly game in our next 10* that isn't. I'm going off our official site, which does not include Setanta Ireland, so we may even have it on TV after all...
Imagine 10+ Arsenal games on TV in a row....

If we qualify for later league cup/FA cup rounds they will be slotted in too and may or may not be televised.

I'm not buying that, so far the Jeffers and Chesney comments at least really, really don't ring true.

    Fantastic bit of fiction there!

There's no way that is true. Pure fan fiction.

Do Setanta show games not on a Saturday though? Stephens Day is a Wednesday this year.
