    Hi,
I own a 06 Ford Focus 1.6 TDci. I've had it 18 months and have had it to main dealer in charleville on 4 occasions, all PDF related. Went through static re-gen a few times then finally the PDF was power hosed to clean it. Today the problem has re-surfaced after 5 months so I'm going to have the firmware remapping to eliminate the problem - suggested by main dealer last time around, but I also have a turbo problem that I don't understand (also need the Air con fixed) anyone recommend a diesel mechanic based in limerick that knows these cars

    Ta.

Cant help you with your quest for a mechanic in limerick but i think you mean DPF not PDF (Diesel particulate filter). What kink of driving have you been doing in those 18 months ?

Well you've tried the main dealer so I would suggest Marius , a polish guy who operates at the rear of the Mazda garage on the Dock Road. He has a good reputation with diesels etc and has all the equipment.;)

Would you not give her a good blast up the motorway once a week?

I have heard good reports from people I work with about Adrians garage near the cement road roundabout. Not just simple servicing but with diagnosing problems.
