I know he probably has loads of fans for his straight speaking and salt-of-the-earth views, but jesus I am finding him increasingly irritating to listen to.

I find him very petty, immature and think that he is serving no purpose as a TD.

When I hear him speak I just get the urge to punch him.

I think he comes across very well in his opinions and seems seems to know what he is talking about,I like him, and if he was in my area he would get one of my votes.

    Grass has its downsides.

I voted for him and will vote for him again. He has a lot more credibility than a lot of the shower in the Dail. Of all the candidates he is the only one who called to my door and chatted for an hour. He gave up half his salary for local causes.

I like him, he is straight speaking and sticks by his views. Even if i dont agree with everything he says he represents his constituents very well from what I can see.

At least he pointed out yesterday that the numbers being down in unemployment is due to emmigration, while the government were using the figures as a good thing.

Pricky politician just like every other TD.Only he tries to convince stupid people that he's not,by not wearing a suit and growing a crap beard.

Very passionate and gives a crap unlike a lo of others. Did great work in and around roscommon before he became a TD. I like him and only wish he was born 30 miles down the road

I don't really want to punch any of them tbh.

    Well, maybe that Clare Daly:D

Used not mind him until he showed his idiocy with comments like "we are heading in the direction of Nazi Germany" when talking about Turf cutting rights.. Type of shight you'd expect to hear in AH not from a TD

Seems like he believes in what he's fighting for at least.

    Ming is a parish-pumper.

The only redeeming feature is his opposition (although he seems to have given up on this after someone had a word with him) to cannabis criminalisation.

Arsehole, but not of the highest order.

Decent politician that compares turf cutting to Nazi Germany?

Funnily enough, I was thinking about who the best politician in Ireland is at the minute. He was one of the first name's that came to mind (then again, I wouldn't take a huge interest in knowing about everyone in the Dail), as I think I heard he drives an absolute banger of a yok and took a wage cut when he got elected.

I like him, he's trying to do the right thing and just seems like a nomal enough guy who happens to be in politics, unlike the majority of the rest of them. Who you can imagine just chat pure and utter shíte 24/7 and don't give 2 fucks about anyone and will lick as much arse as humanly possible to get themselves even more money.

The way I look at it is that he's very good compared to the rest of them, but probably only an average politician if I gave it enough thought

He might have been drawing connotations with a well known authoritarian regime rather than implying we were going to gas a load of Jews or build an Autobahn.

He is now tainted, as he sits in his smoke box, the reality of a sweet pension and many hours contemplation will bring him to the realization, fook I can feed my habit forever,

while I do promise to try to get it legalized, one man will not change fook all unless he spikes the muffins.

I'm still going to go with yes on this one. It doesn't mean I agree with the comment (I don't), but overall yes he is still a decent politician. He is from my area, although I don't live there any more, and generally people speak well of him and the work he has done over the years.

Cannabis legalisation is hardly an issue specific to county Roscommon.

Seems to have a lot of integrity, is whip smart and actually seems to give a **** about his constituents. Need more politicians like him tbh.

Seems like a decent enough skin but like all the other independents as useful as a chocolate ashtray.

He is raising a private members bill on this in the new year.

    Ming is a decent skin.
He is a TD through hard work, not through party push, family dynasty , or attending funerals.
If I was in the trenches I'd have him beside me before any of the teachers in the present Dail.

He has a squeaky voice.......... he has a weirdy beardy.......... who gives a ****.

Isn't this a big problem in Ireland? The whole "he fixed the road" attitude!

That would be the "He half-fixed the road, and charged me twice for it" problem.
