Camera phones have a lot to answer for! I am sick of seeing stupid photos on Facebook of teenage brats with gombeen looks on their faces. You know the look, eyes like they sat on something wet, pouting furiously and what's with that ridiculous V sign they make with their hands under the chin????? What the phook is that about?
When I was 14, I ran away from a camera but I see my nieces pose and all their friends commenting on how gorg etc. she's turned into such a vain brat!

No I won't attach a photo!

When you were fourteen your antics were viewed to be just as worthless, cretinous and pathetic by people older than you.
And in time your Niece will feel the same about the generation after her.

Well done, you got old. Have a nice misremember about the past and try and to cope with the frightening spectre of change.

Raise camera above your head

Look to your left like you see something

Do that stupid, pinched-mouth look like you're sucking on the most sour lemon.

I'm with the OP on this one. I have a cousin who's always at this crapola. The surprising thing is that her parents are semi-hippy/ alternative/ musician type. I will never know how they spawned a wannabe duck faced little glamour girl I'll never know. /shudder/

Nobody was a perfect teen, everybody did stuff they thought was cool at the time that makes them shudder when they look back.

Bet the OP is 19. A lot of really young people think they're ancient. And "the youth of today" is a phrase that should never be uttered non jokingly by anyone under 50.
There was no FB, smartphones etc when I was a teen but I was no doubt doing stuff that annoyed and disgusted older folks.
