    Yes from July of 2013

Beer and spirits up 10 c, wine up 1 euro
    Fags 10c

So does this mean we will all end up paying a bit more PRSI now? I dont really understand, not very good with this sort of thing.

So we're expected to pay €157 for all of 2013, despite it being replaced by a Property Tax halfway through the year, and pay that on top of the 157?

    smokes up 10c per pack
Roll your own tobacco up 50c per 25g
    pint up 10 c

should have put a minimum price of €1 per can in an off licence to get people drinking in pubs.
Its much safer than drinking at home....Ive learnt this the hard way

Pints up 10c? On Dublin pub rates that works out to 50 pints for the price of 51. Won't somebody please think of the children!

For most workers, if you earn over €352 per week, the first €127 is exempt from PRSI and the balance is charged at 4%. That exemption is now gone, and the entire amount is charged at 4%.

Theres been a large increase in the amount of people, especially younger people buying rollies.
Its a catch all approach and will take in more tax. How many people buy illegal rollies....
