Two gardai chased the car, caught one and the other guy got away without burning out the car. I think that's very brave, two unarmed guards chasing down armed cold-blooded murderers.

OP's report said they were armed, but RTÉ were making a point on the news earlier of saying they were in fact unarmed.

Fair play to them - high time the Guards were given the same sort of firepower as the scumbags tbh.

That guy just annoys the he'll out of me - I don't know the man who was shot but surely his family should be allowed to grieve for a day or so before Grimlans starts spouting out of him. Also how in touch is Grimlans with what's going on in Dublin sure hasn't he spent the last 18 months following Murphy around Amsterdam.

And dont forget Ryan was a "freedom fighter" and was trying to rid this beautiful city of drugs!

    Jesus actually did weep.
Still no sign of all the guys who were giving out to us for saying that the scummer Ryan was no loss complaining about the tone of this thread. Very odd.

Whats even odder is there's no sign of the hyenas who were out in force on the Ryan thread cackling through this one.

You've missed the people saying 'one less scumbag'? Will I go back through the thread and quote them all for you?

Funny how some people only see what they want to see.

Yes, on one thread we had a load of people defending a scumbag, on the other thread we don't.

Which one was which, do you reckon?

lol...not really. I don't think there's an argument to be made, it's pretty irrefutable.

If I wanted a pointless argument, I'd be back on the evolution thread...

    God I hate Paul Williams.

No. Chuck Norris never had Garda protection (at taxpayers expense) or had everyone who lives on his street evacuated during the night because of a bomb scare.Williams always throws in a few "me and Veronica" statements when he is on TV etc to try and big himself up as a tough guy.

Yeah I hadn't heard of him until now. Most notorious eh?

Monty, Monty, its the teensy weensy things like facts that you seem to be missing, not that we should let them get in the way of a good mouth frothing.

Mr Ryan has convictions for attending terrorism summer school and possesion of a firearm. Regardless of what you think of the RIRA, ever since Pearse took up fly posting that's perfectly respectable form in republican circles. Perhaps he was actually putting the squeeze on drugs gangs for some of their profits but reasonable people aren't going to take yours or Paul Williams word on that.

Mr Kelly, on the other hand, was caught with a couple of sugar bags full of coke and had a string of previous for commoner gardener criminal offences. We can safely take it he is/was, in fact, involved in the drugs trade. Though he also bate the head off a sticky so maybe he wasn't all bad :pac:

Just the facts ma'am, as they used to say. Little teensy factual facts.
