Ah, he scored 22 last year mate! :)

You're looking at his ESP rating. He has never hit 90 points. I'm a Pool fan, and love the guy, but he should never be near any FF squad, he just isn't an FF type player.

Ahh I see, Cheers. in the back of my mind I was thinking he's cheap for someone with that many points last year.

Just noticed something odd. I've played my WC so last night I got in 4 players who went up in price. One of these was Ashley Cole. I got him for 6.5, and he then went up to 6.6.

When I go to my transfer screen now however, 6.6 is appearing underneath him (as in his transfer value for me). I thought this should still be 6.5, and that it wouldn't be 6.6 until his actual value goes to 6.7??

When I go to take him out, 6.6m is added to my bank.

    Am I missing something here??

At what time did you buy him?
I think you might have pulled the trigger too late and bought him @ 6.6

I want to do Morrisson to Michu but I need to make 1m extra for it.

Should I take a 4pt hit and make it happen? Who should I downgrade for it? Is Ba -> Fletcher worth it for the DGW? Fletcher hasn't been performing at all from what I've seen?

What the better transfer choice for this week-

    Berb to Defoe

    or

    Bale to Walcott.

I be already shipping out Baird - Shorey.

why are people taking Bale out?

1 or 2 weeks should be easily covered by a good bench.

Every week I wait for Fellaini to stop scoring and every week I'm wrong. Gonna have to get him in I think.

Don't know an awful lot about FF but I am paying quite close attention this year, and I have to say that I think Fellaini should be in every FF team.

He is a striker that FF have down as a midfielder, meaning he gets 5 points for a goal when it should really be 4. Everton's whole game plan revolves around him (meaning lots of assists thrown in) and for the past 18 months he has been in the form of his life, arguably the best player in the Premier League in 2012.

Only negative is that he habitually picks up a yellow card every game but he's still worth the steal that he is, at 7.6.

Will probably just do Ba to someone. Waiting to watch the Sunderland game tomorrow to see if Fletcher is an option. Otherwise, transfer will be banked.

Actually, can anyone see a decent transfer to make here? 0.9 m in bank?

    no need at all IMO.

you're also doing the same as me I reckon - captaining Michu, though i don't trust Norwich to let in goals easily.

I've transferred him in this week which unfortuantely means the end of his good run.

    Sorry all.

also, it might bite me in the backside, but i'm not really going to bother with the DGW.

i've Cuellar in my team as my only Sunderland rep, and i just took Wisdom out for Clark as my very boring transfer for this week.

Fletcher is the only one i'll be worrying about though.

i'll be hoping for lots of people to be bringing in Sunderland and Reading players this week, then realise they're shít, and have to transfer them all back out again within a GW or 2 for probable points hits.

Don't worry, those of us who brought in Fletcher for the DGW have already been kindly repaid. He prob won't even f**king play.

i do actually feel for those who brought in Fletch in advance for the GW, if he indeed stays injured. it was sound strategy the way he personally was going.

at the same time, fúck you all. i had Michu on my bench this week, so if Fletch doesn't play, it'll dull that pain a little more.

i need to the next GW to start so I can forget about that actually.

I agree. I have Cuellar and Gorkss. I'll be leaving it at that. I doubt Gorkss will even play at this stage but he was a 3.9 million necessity at the time.

I hate having a good week. I dont know what transfers to make this week :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,745 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

anyone who has Gorkss, i say fair enough. he's a long term, cheap player who'll come up with the very odd cleanie for you if you pick the right week, and maybe even a goal over the course of a season.

he's not someone to especially bring in on a DGW.

him, maybe Federici (very very maybe), a Sunderland defender if you don't have one already, Fletcher, maybe Johnson, are IMO the only ones people should seriously consider.

and having said that, i obviously wouldn't bring in multitudes of them.

and any of my rivals who i see with more than 3 players between the two teams this week, i'll have a chuckle in all honesty. because no matter if they score well, there will be regret not long afterwards IMO.

I actually can't wait to see some people's teams :)

it's the ones who have Fletcher longterm that i'll be hoping have a fail of a week.

Very boring transfer of Knightly to Robson-Kanu as a 5th cheap midfielder to be benched most of the season, mainly done it to free up funds but will stick him in this week. Leaves me with 3 for DGW, him, Cuellar who I have had all season and Sess who was bought last week with the DGW in mind and will be sold for Fellaini next week. I've had 5 weeks of red arrows and dropped from 11k overall to 52k overall and my lead of 60 odd in my money league is now 3, need something to change very quickly! A Demba hat trick all assisted by Simpson would do nicely tonight for starters!

I suggested people look at Shorey around the same time Gorkks dropped to 3.9 million suggesting he was the Baines of the bottom half of the table.

    Since then he's gone one to score 4, 6, 6, 4, 2 & 6 and has somehow remained at 4.1m.

He's pretty much a must have imo yet only 1.8% of people have him.

If you have Michu as captain for example and Fletcher as vice captain, will Fletcher be captain then in the midweek game, also if Cueller is one of my subs will he definitely come in for the midweek game. Cant see Sunderland keeping clean sheet vs Chelsea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 607 ✭✭✭BroLo

Nope. Whoever is captain for the week gets the double points. If you want Fletcher to get double points you have to have him as the captain.

As regards Ceullar he'll only come in if someone doesn't play, normal rules apply.

    No and no.

You pick your 11 as normal, including captain and that covers the full GW. If you want Fletcher as captain, you must put the armband on him and he will be for both games. If he only plays in one game, he is still your captain and it only moves to a VC if he plays zero of the 180 minutes.

If Cuellar is on the bench and your other 10 outfielders start, he stays on the bench.

Did Fletch to Defoe, fortunately had the funds to do so

Santi Cazorla and Bassong in for Rafael and Nolan is a tempter.

Thinking of Tevez to Defoe and Morrison to Michu for a 4 point hit...?

one of the worst weeks to do that.

Fletch with a probable DGW, and Bale out, meaning a huge supply line for Defoe is now gone.

you'll be fortunate to get away with that, especially as Spurs are away to Everton.

fair play if that works out for you :o

Tevez will probably start v Utd, and can score in any game, but Michu is a must have.

also Defoe is away to Everton, and Spurs are Bale-less.

    tough one.

Hold off a week for Michu? Save the transfer and the 4 points?

Also any tips based on this?

Everton are keeping very few clean sheets and Spurs have plenty of creative players without Bale IMO, although he is a huge loss.

I would be worried about Defoe being rotated with Ade though.
