Cant get texts and some apps to transfer from Iphone 4 to Iphone 5 (HELP)

Can anyone help me. I got a new iphone 5 and i cant get my text messages to transfer over and some of my apps wont transfer ie Viber, again with messages I want to keep and pictures and videos. Is it the texts that are important or the photos and videos in them?
Maybe you could save the images/videos to your camera roll of the 4 and re-sync?
