At least the Elgin game was called off well in advance. Although you'll always have fans inconvenienced to some extent.
Looks like it's grim up north!

Nothing to do with the weather they actually did sell to many tickets numbers range but people seem to reckon it was oversold by something in the region of 1100 tickets. In a ground like Elgins that is a disaster waiting to happen.

Can't really blame the Elgin fans, if I had a chance to see my team go top of the Third Division I'd be along to the game too :pac:

    From the Times:
At least one broker appears to be busy in these trying times. Not only is Cenkos Securities putting the finishing touches to a multimillion-pound fundraising for Rangers FC, it also has been marshalling support for those pressured British companies prospecting for oil and gas off the Falkland Islands.

Well-informed sources suggested that institutional investors had agreed to buy nearly £20 million of shares in Rangers at 70p each as part of its AIM flotation.

Supporters of the Glasgow football club, relegated from the Scottish Premier League to the country’s fourth tier after being bought out of administration in June, will be able to buy another £10 million of shares at the same price for the next month or so, with a minimum investment of £500.

    Brilliant news if true.

Is our full title now "Rangers, relegated to the fourth tier of scottish football FC" or a variation of that?

Rangers were not relegated though, they had to apply to become members of the SFA at the bottom tier of Scottish football as they did not have a football share

I think you will find our share was transferred from the SPL. If it had happened the way you say we wouldn't be there as we didn't have accounts for three years.

I know your not going to accept the fact but there you go

....Transferred from the SPL club to the new SFL club starting in the Third Division.

Rangers were not relegated, that is also a fact and not one that should ever be met with debate.

Your right we were demoted to the third. And share was transferred to the new holding company also a simple fact which should never be net with debate

Okay then, in your world where your club was "demoted to the third", what was it for?

No Comment as you pointless debate I will never agree with you because you are wrong. You most likely think I am so we will go round in circles. The bottom line is our share was transferred to the third its is easy enough to find the details

Funnily enough I'm not looking to argue with you, as I said it's not something which should or can be met with debate. It would be like you telling me Celtic aren't SPL champions.

I am genuinely interested though, in your school of thought, what was it 'Rangers' were "demoted" for? What crime is it that gets punished by a demotion to the bottom tier of Scottish football?

I'm not trying to change your mind, any Rangers fan who hasn't already jumped at the opportunity for a fresh start without the tainted history obviously isn't going to do so now - I'm just curious as to how you've arrived at that conclusion.

    Yawn.

Obviously a touch subject, didn't realise we couldn't talk about it. What is this, the Scottish Media :pac:

Don't be daft, we wouldn't stop you from talking about your favourite team. ;)

Aha yes, that old deflection. Everyone is obsessed with Rangers or else they wouldn't pick apart our bollocks :D

Not a deflection in the slightest - mention a little pattern in the habit of reporting on rangers, and lo and behold, two Celtic fans appear to tell us "The Truth".
While drawing on tired lines such as "tainted history" etc.

    it's boring.

You know you're lot are currently drawing 0-0 right?

I'm more interested in getting an answer to my question than telling "the truth" to some people whose delusion knows no bounds.

Does the phrase ring any bells

No sure Rangers are my favourite team :pac:

    1-0 btw

We could perhaps talk about how one of your own players was seen at a RIRA party ?

Or how the reporter that broke the story received death threats ?

But I'm sure that would be 'nothing to do with Celtic', right ? ;)

So you don't want to talk about Rangers/Sevco in a Rangers thread but you do want to talk about a Celtic player?

What's there to talk about then ?

Apart from the fact we're doing well ?

    I'll leave you to it

    :pac::pac::pac::pac:

    I'll leave you to it

No debts, top of the league, likely to get a massive cash influx,...

At least we're not Hearts :pac:

Btw, looks like the Cup is well and truly alive among your fans :D
    What's that, 7000 or so there ?

:( What can I say, its truly dark times to support Celtic. If only we could swap places :o

Not a touchy subject, but within a couple of posts it's clear to see there is no point in discussing it. You mention Rangers fans and there accptence of the truth I think about 99.9 % of us already know what the truth is so why do we need to explain ourselves to you

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,940 ✭✭✭BhoscaCapall

So, any chance of answering my question or should we just change the subject?

Sorry our thoughts are so far apart starting with your tainted history garbage that there would be no point in giving you my reasons behind it. To be fair it has nothing to do with you and your curiosity can find out elsewhere as I have no interest in getting into a long drawn out discussion with you, only to find myself back at square one.

I find it odd that someone so convinced is not able to explain such a simple facet to their argument. I'm not even trying to prove you wrong here, I could well be wrong, it's why I'm asking.
