I just went to look over that page again, and it's changed.
I presume i could share files privately?

The TOS says you can only use it for your own content. You need to own the copyright.

If piracy was a problem on the service then its likely they would ban videos based on some content identification method. So even if you privately shared a TV show with just one friend, if someone else publicly shared the same show, when his video gets reported, yours may be flagged for removal also.

File lockers used to do this via a checksum but video hosting sites tend to use video-based methods. That's why you often see stuff 'flipped' on youtube to try and evade their content identification.

I have installed this, the hack has added fanart to your films and tv programmes and it looks very well. They have also added a music icon on the home page and a different display for your local media. Using the interference seems a lot quicker as well.

I'll leave it a while before I take the leap, presumably lots of bugs a while.
Would be a little worried about bricking the box with an early version.

    I went for it.
No issues so far, easy install.

The ability to modify the front page is nice, and remove the boxee featured content. I also like the fanart display.

Nothing major really yet but it is very promising. Just glad I didn't brick the Box.

Liking the way the updates are automatic now, takes a lot of hassle of it

had a couple of issues with 1.3.5 just seemed to slow everything down a bit, grand since the latest update
