Saw these in Hamburg recently. It made a change from Mercs and Smart cars, not to mention the millions of bicycles! Dont know what the silver "Fiat" looking one is, any thoughts?

It's a 124 Spider. A post 1973 model which has had the ugly US-centric impact bumpers removed (up until then they had lovely chrome ones...) Odd aftermarket wing mirrors, though nice Iron Cross rims!

I had a blue one and I miss her! :(

Hi Lads, few from a Motor Show in the RDS. I think it was 1990. Enjoy..

Love the 959 on that Lotto stand, wonder if it was ever driven in anger over some Irish potholes.

Happy to say that in the meantime I've owned a couple of those cars, which to me back then would have seemed utterly unobtainable, namely a 911, Audi V8 and a 300ZX. Next on the list would be a NSX, doubt I'll ever get to the 959! :)

Remember that show like it was yesterday first motor show I was at. Remember drooling over the lotto dream cars and the stir generated by the lexus ls400 or maybe that was mostly driven by my fathers desire to own one! Had some pics of that myself must look them up,
    Thanks for posting.

Also had a long chat with the current owner of that z1 at classic car live don't know how he put up with my kids climbing into it.

The Z1 was always out in Motor Import. BMW Irl HQ back then, it was the same site where F Keane BMW is now.

No Not the only M1 here. I have seen pics of a second white one.

There was a German registered one parked in the car park of Mespil House flats around about 2001/2002. It was under a cover and from what I could see of it it looked very rusty!

Look like Lotus Elise wing mirrors, look odd on the car alright.

@ Mac 3 thanks for all the photos, I'm sure I was at that show too....used to get the aul fella bring me every year if he could. Brings back good memories. He has manic depression and it could be 11 years since we did anything together now as he doesn't do anything anymore. Bought a model of an F40 at the '93 or '94 show and that got me on the addiction of model collecting!

    I had a 1/12 model F40 too as a kid!

My 2½ yr old son plays with it now. Yes, it's now missing a door, but the way I look at it - classics are meant to be driven. :)

I remember it like yesterday too. Proof that we can actually do a credable show if we want to. Highlights for me -alongwith the above- was the guy from Lexus showing us the dashboard coming to life on the just launched LS400. But best of all was when myself and my mate got kicked off the Yugo stand because we were crying with laughter from our own mockings of a 45A. We did all this sitting in the car while a lot of people looked in at us having what must have seemed like a ball. If I remeber correctly the guy from Yugo just leaned into the car, kept smiling all the time and very softly but sternly told us to f**k off :D

I was unable to get behind the screen for one of your minty things, though I noted there did not seem to be any dark ones,

So, another glass of CDP and google took me to a 2009 Boards Thread about Irish Astons inc WZH 313

    Suitably refreshed, Rugbyman

I spotted this today at Kilrush Airfield.

Edit: I forgot to say that it's a Ford A series based fire tender.

The M1 belongs to Frank Keane. It sat in his showroom, or back room most of its life, but his son took it out for the Cannonball in 2011 but it started to leak coolant and they wisely retired it and lifted it back to HQ. Wonderful original car.

The yellow Z1 was a demo too, now belong to Mike Armstrong, dealer and sometimes racer. he brings it to some of the classic shows, namely Mondello.

As everybody else has said the photographs are excellent.

Do you by any chance have anymore of the Quattroporte?

I only ask as the car belongs to me.

 Too valuable to bring out ?? NEVER seen it on the streets. Nearly bought a deTomaso Pantera one time down Lad Lane (opp Huets - where the IX Mk II and E type are in the photos ), but 2 seats didn't suit me at the time compared with my 3.0Ghia Capri

    Hi Kevin,

I have another pic of the Quattroporte. Ill dig it out and have it scanned for you.

I was hoping that most of these cars have survived over the years. I thought some of the Boardsies would know the whereabouts of some of em but its great that a member here owns one.

The pic was taken near Dorset street, If memory serves me it was Lhd, possibly an arabic or diplomatic plate. Not a regular European reg..
