    Emotion

Just came across a lovely quote from a Romanian living in Georgia

    Mahatma Gandhi quotes
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Between my goddamn insomnia and my hard drive full of films/TV shows... I'm not getting much sleep. But at least I've something to keep me occupied!

Malcolm In The Middle is classic, btw...

copying the following. . . comment from a thread about a Jedward DVD bargain thread:

do ye hate yoiur kids that much that ye are inflicting those 2 twats on them, they are 2 grand role models, you will be scratching you head in a few years time wondering why you kid is gay

Maybe I should start thinking what I was listening as a child and blame it for being gay. . .

Much as I'm settling into my sexual identity now (bisexuality) and that I'm growing happier and happier with it, some elements of the past are still haunting me... :(

Life is never simple, is it? :(

Right, AH is clearly not a place to have a semi-serious discussion about sexuality or discussing straight men having gay experiences.

Some people are as thick as brick walls around that place. Funny enough that one of them that's making stupid, slightly homophobic comments was active enough in the 'no' side of the gay marriage poll. No surprises.

There's no serious side to that place. It's the armpit of boards.ie without question.

Good for a laugh sometimes, but it unfortunately gives a forum to bile-spewing mongoloids who have nothing better to do than make themselves feel big by making others feel rotten.

Never mind under the bridge; AH is where the trolls REALLY live...

In fairness to the AH thread, the nay-sayers are very much in the minority. Loud, excitable, and rigid, but a minority nonetheless.

Do ya think it might have something to do with the fact that you feel the need to contribute details of how big your cock is in every gay thread?

And that was mentioned when? Good to know what you're looking out for though.

It's not all bad and I do quite like it, it's mostly the gobshites that come around specially to sound off the nonsense that's annoying.

Other than that though, I think it's mostly just taking the piss and having a laugh. Thankfully those idiots are a minority and wouldn't think twice about it in real life out of fear, I bet.

I am sure you can find better ways to take the piss and have a laugh. Some people in AH are dead serious on what they are writing. . .

Take the discussions about cock size to PM please

Is it just me or is watching Nigella Lawson cook a chocolate cake hotter than porn?

Have to agree, anything with Nigella Lawson can be turned in soft core porn.

Apparently when it comes to wrapping it up for the ride, things get a bit complicated if you're vegan - vegan condoms. And if you're having butt sex, even more so

Vegan condoms should be fine for use during anal sex. Just make certain to find some good vegan lube to go with them.

Wtf? If ever I could bother my ass being vegan I definitely could not bother it enough to vegan condom hunting on a Saturday night, never mind the feckin' lube along with it :P

    I don't trust vegans.

Life without meat wouldn't be worth living for me, I'd have no problem being a meatiterian but could never willingly go veggie, as for Vegans, serious issues there lol

I wouldn't have imagined that condoms would have any animal matter used, apparently they have caesein (formerly known as "artifical horn", snigger) in them.

Bit obsessive though, particularly as artificial latex is made from *dead* animals (oil) as are all the reliable non-latex condoms. And the artificial fibres/plastic shoes vegans wear...

The price of alcohol should be quadrupled, to try and teach Irish people how to drink in moderation. Got a cut and a lump over my eye because some arsehole was so drunk, he fell over my speaker stand, knocking the speaker on me and nearly destroying my laptop in the process, so he could ask me to play gangam style, as he slurred it for the 30th time. Was a staff party for Tesco and all the other nationalities got a bit drunk and had fun, while all the Irish, were either puking, fighting or falling all around the place! In retrospect I'm raging I didn't knock your man out!

That's a rotten one, Ste. It is a fact that alcohol brings out the absolute worst in some people. Hope the head's not too sore...:(

I'd say the split was 60-40, Irish to non nationals, yet there was only one of the foreign staff who was in a bad way and 75% of the Irish staff were either too drunk to standup, puking or incapeable of basic comprehension. I'd imagine most of the girls will be black and blue this morning and have a feeling at least two of the guys will probably have ended the night in casualty somewhere but it's all good fun  probably should have posted this in the unpopular opinions thread. :D

Heads sore but ok thanks :)

Have to do Santa at a kids party this afternoon, doesn't look great for that!

Is anyone getting a bit peeved at the skewed views going on at After Hours the past few weeks? Just seems to be strings of threads particularly on gay men, with some pretty small-minded opinions going around and a mob mentality...

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 19,242 Mod ✭✭✭✭L.Jenkins

What grates on me though, is the mob mentality spilling over into this forum.

When is the forum being split into gay PI and more general stuff?
