    A PROMINENT woman journalist has received chilling death threats from sympathisers of Real IRA terror boss Alan Ryan.

    The crime reporter, who works for a national newspaper, received two threatening phone calls after Ryan sympathisers put her mobile number and other personal details on a memorial website last night.

    Photos of the reporter, along with her email address, were also posted on the website, which led to thugs ringing her phone and threatening to kill her.

    When the reporter became aware that her personal details had been posted online, she immediately contacted gardai.
    Well I for one am sickened that this RIRA hero, a man beloved by the Dublin underclass, is being so badly let down by the actions of his sympathisers. They are giving dissident Republican thugs a bad name.

    Anyone know what paper the story was in? I'm assuming it was the same paper that had a pic of Celtic's Anthony Stokes having great craic at this 'fundraiser'.

    Some of the things said about Alan Ryan and his family after he died in the media have been utterly disgraceful - why didn't journalists have the (proverbial) balls to say all of these things when he was alive? Especially considering he would never have bothered to sue.

    If she is the woman who wrote the disgraceful article about the memorial fundraiser that was held then I'm not at all surprised people are upset, one of the finest example of gutter journalism you're likely to see.

    That said death threats are not acceptable whatsoever and hopefully the people who did it are held to account.

    If it's the one with the pic of Stokes beside it then yeah I did. Didn't see anything wrong with it.

    Tell that to the victims of the Omagh bomb and every other victim of the Real IRA. Disgraceful that there are people prepared to deify someone who belonged to a terrorist organisation.
