Quote for names driver on Provisional license with 1.8 Civic

Looking for a good price on my standard unmodified 07 Civic SES vtec.
Factors: 31 yr old Main driver (female) is on full license for 6 years with 6 years NCB. Car is parked in garage in Dublin 8 area.
32 year old male named driver on provisional for 6 years.
Here's my experience so far:
Liberty won't even quote, as the car is 'high performance'.
AXA via AA quoted €717 fully comp with €300 excess
Aviva via Chill.ie quoted €650 fully comp with €300 excess, and offered it for €600

Any other ones you know of that would cover a provisional on a 1.8 civic?

Get out the Golden Pages and ring every ins co and a good selection of brokers. It's the only way to be sure that you're getting the best price.

The quotes so far seem good, considering the licence and car... Try quoteme.ie- see what they can get for you

was the only one company I found who agreed to add my wife to the policy. she has L licence for few months only.

Are those prices for the entire policy or are they the extra cost to add the named driver? €600 fully comp is an excellent price considering the car and the fact that you are trying to add a male on a long term learners permit.

Rang Chill back and said I would pay the full year upfront, they dropped it down to €580-nice

€580 is even better! Yep, it's the full price for both of us. The fact that we're both 31 with no points may be a factor.
