    That makes no sense.

What does your letter say exactly?

89% Never heard of such a thing.

    That makes no sense.

What does your letter say exactly?

Award: Full maintenance and 89% fees adjacent
    Maintenance Grant: €675.00

I was in a course previously, so I'm guessing that has something to do with the non-sense part, as I left half way through the year and didn't receive all payments for that year. I'm going to send them a message on facebook to clarify what it actually means anyway!

No difference except it seems to take forever to get the review done. Maybe they are short of 'reviewers':(

Yeah, I was afraid of that...I've been "pending review" all month. :( I was told that I would have had an answer by now.

Hi, when did you email SUSI exactly? I sent them an email two weeks ago and they still haven't replied. I sent them a private message on boards.ie and still nothing! I also sent them another email yesterday. To be honest, I am not expecting a reply. I constantly call but the representative on the other end cannot seem to help me!!

Would advise anyone with a query to go to susi facebook or Twitter account. You may have to wait 24 hours but they are extremely helpful. Phoning them a waste of time.

I wonder if that is because the Facebook / Twitter enquiry goes direct to SUSI officials while the Helpline is operated by Abtran? It may be though that the Helpline simply do not have access to the same amount of info that SUSI officials do and so can't help as well.

God it gets worse, my son is waiting a whole month just to get his application reviewed now it looks like that once an application passes the review stage it goes on to a post awarded review stage, it is probably a stage where they decide that maintenance an applicant will be awarded. That will no doubt take another couple of months, it's definitely a stystem that is extremely student orientated........... only kidding of course .................. :(

I sent SUSI an angry message on their Facebook page earlier this week and got a phone call about an hour later from a guy saying thanks very much for the message - awkward much - and that my grant had been processed literally twenty minutes before he called. Seemed unlikely, but there ya go. Keep nagging them until you get a response. Anyway I've been awarded the full 3025 but I'm just wondering, does anyone know is that for one term or for the full year? My friend who started college last year and therefore didn't apply via SUSI gets 2000 or so every three months. 3025 for a term seems almost excessive but for the full nine months will barely pay my rent. I tried looking on the student finance site but it doesn't say anywhere...

I got two months last Friday.

Someone posted dates for the grants last week (Could have been cono121 actually) and December's payment is the 21st. That will be your next installment. It is paid monthly from October to June.

Im wondering if anyone can help me , I've sent off all documentation to SUSI months ago and iv received a letter awarding me full maintenance and iv submitted my bank details online weeks ago but i have still not got paid. Yesterday I got an email from my college to say that i am on the NUI Galway SUSI list and that this may disrupt payment even though I attend St.Angela's College which is a college of NUIG. But on all my letters i've received from SUSI it confirms that I am doing my course in St. Angelas ... I got onto my local representative who got in contact with SUSI and they have said it should've been paid today, however my account balance is still €0.00!
    UGH i'm extremely frustrated!! :(

What I want to know is why people that applied to SUSI way later than me have recieved their grants ages ago?! I know someone personally that applied for their grant around the 10th of August and has been getting their grant payments since last month. Whereas I applied on the day SUSI opened and handed in all of my documents the day after they asked for them and I'm still sitting here without any money or any idea if I'm even getting the grant and I know many more cases like this. If this isn't unfair I don't know what is, I know it varies from application to application on how long it takes to process it but months later is crazy! Ps. I don't blame anyone who applied for the grant later than me and has their money, I blame the system.

I'm in the same boat here. I've tried everything, ringing, emailing and I even got on to my local representative! I don't understand how they could've made such a big mistake getting my college wrong! So iv just sent them a message on FB, hopefully they'll have some answers

I have not one but two TD's questioning SUSI about it and they're still not getting any answers. One of the TD's was told I would have an answer by Tuesday this week, and the other who talked to them later was told I'd have an answer by Thursday. Obviously neither of these happened and I Facebook messaged them on Wednesday, got an answer back yesterday saying my application was still pending review. I've wasted over 20 euro collectively calling SUSI since college began.

I've sold so much of my stuff to pay for rent so far and I can barely sleep...I had cereal with water in it the other day because I didn't have milk.

I can just about make it with food at the moment because I know there are many people far worse off than I am that need help from SVP. I just buy cheap food in bulk and my mum freezes dinners for me, I collect them at the weekend and have them during the week. Water with cereal has to be one of the worst things that I've tasted so far, but you know what? It's an experience and we'll be stronger for it. We're struggling a lot now but if we make it we'll appreciate our education more and hopefully get Rory Quinn out of office!:pac:

    You're very optimistic aren't you! :P

Unlike everyone else here, Im actually cancelling my grant. I did two months of a course and I disliked it a lot. So Im going for accounting next year. Should have gone for it in the first place! But because I withdrew from my course halfway through the year, I am entitled to half my fees paid next year which will help immensely. Before this week I thought i had no choice but to finish a four year depressing course with nothing to show for it in the end. So if anyone doesn't like the course you're on now, its not too late to change. Don't let the grant stop you. Withdraw before Christmas. I have to say, SUSI have dealt with my case impeccably. They have sounded so sincere and they were so helpful. If anyone has any queries, send them a private message on Facebook. They will get back to you within two days. Fact.

Well I got a response form them through Facebook (why couldn't they have done thi smonths ago?) and I am now officially through to "Final review". Greta news except for they can't say when that will actually be done. Anyone have a rough idea of how long people are forced to wait at the final review stage?

I was in the final review stage for about a month and a half give or take a week. My mother got in contact with our local td and I got my money within a week. I suggest you get into contact with your local td or counsellor as soon as. :)

Okay so here's my situation, everything was sorted last October. They sent me an email Thursday the 8 of November that my payment would be processed tomorrow, so on the 9 of November I got my September payment.

My October payment is due today the 30 of November, but I never got a confirmation email yesterday. I rang & emailed, they said it should have been sent today, if not check with my College if attendance forms have been sent off, but I'm sure they would have.

The only problem I can see is I missed a whole week of College in October, could this be the reason I haven't been paid today, what is their policy on attendance ? Surely a few days off wouldn't mean they'd cut my entire payment.

I always heard it was 75% of classes for the month when dealing with the VEC. I'm not sure about SUSI. But it is definitely worth checking with the grant office in your college.

I hope I don't have to be dealing with this every month making sure they do send off the attendance.

The attendance thing is a bit weird though, there is three days a week in my course that attendance isn't taken, how will that work?
