New Oil Boiler needed. Recommendations?

    Hi All,

    My oil boiler is done for.
    It's leaking water and the thing looks pretty corroded at the pipe joints.
    The Oil side is fine, no leaks, but a plumber said it's gonna have to be replaced.

    It's an outdoor type, aprox 6 years old, and I can't think of the name, but it's a generic one in a housing estate, 1300sq ft house.

    Can anyone recommend a good efficient, but reasonably priced boiler to fit?

    Also, regarding the job itself, is it a big job? I also have a back boiler if that makes any difference.
    What is the recommended course of action to be carried out (flushing system etc) and what should I expect to pay (not in Dublin so bear that in mind. I'm in Donegal)?

    Grant Vortex is the best and most efficient oil boiler on the market. Definitely with solid fuel, do a Powerflush.

    6 years old! Something is amiss. I would definitely have the system chemically tested. Fernox do a test kit for €25. Take a sample and send to them and they will send you back analysis, included in price.

    Sounds far to fresh to need replacing post some pics to help people here advise.If you want a new boiler go with Shane's advise you can't buy better than a Grant Vortex
