Is this roof suitable for attic conversion?

Hi,
I posted this question in DIY forum but it's probably more relevant to here.
I am starting to think about converting the attic in my house to contain a bedroom with ensuite and maybe even balcony with a door instead of velux windows.

First question is, from the photo below, does it look like the roof would be suitable for conversion? House was built circa 1979, roof was retiled about 15 years ago. approx 130sq metre house.
I also attach a mishmash i did of a balcony and what it might look like!

I would be fairly sure that you wont be able to convert that attic into any form of habitable accommodation as it wouldn't comply with building regs.

That's just based on what I see in the pics and which appears to be a very restricted attic space.

No problem with storage btw.

At a guess I'd say you're lacking head room.

+ 1 to this. I can't see the headroom being anyway decent, never mind habitable, by the time you insulate and floor out the space.

BTW you would probably need planning permission for your gable window/balconette idea.

that pitch looks less than 20 degrees.... not a chance it can be converted to be in any way usable for habitable space.

You might fit a corridor up there along the centre.
But thats about it, no habitable rooms either side
