AFAIK it's Shi'ite men re-enacting the martyrdom of Husayn_ibn_Ali on the Day of Ashura. Which happens to be today (25/11) this year.
    e.g. this from Afghanistan, 2009:

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

It's a load of Shi'ite, if you ask me, but what do I know? Other religions did this too, it's just that most of them grew out of it. Most:

It'd be more amusing if the savages weren't subjecting their children to it too. I thought it was just about some quaint silly people flagellating themselves.

Snakes normally puke things up if they're startled and need to get a quick getaway. Those annoying gits yapping were probably driving him daft.

Still, he is a big bastard!

Yeah, it looks like a lion or something - look at the nose area too.

Still makes me feel queasy though!

I'm oddly mesmerised by it... Should I be worried?

    He used a pigs eye.

Here is the full movie, women were more or less treated as sex objects by the Dadaist's (its still debated etc)

Ah, I've actually seen that - didn't recognise that scene though - bit strange - you'd expect to remember seeing that before!
Although, the entire film was fairly strange and difficult to watch, so that's probably why!

Meh. That gif/movie looks awefully dated. Fairly tame in comparision to some of the other stuff on this thread.

I've been trying to find the old "offensive gauntlet" page of the Encyclopedia Dramatica website that had all kinds of NOPE on it but my searches have so far come up fruitless. :(

    EDIT: FOUND IT!

WArning: This is so unbelievably NSFW that I wonder if it's even safe to view AT ALL. The first time I saw it, I only reached about a 1/4 of the way down the page before I had to go drive heave over the toilet. It's been a while and I've just completed the entire page. All I can say is: Holy. f-ucking. ****.
    EXTREMELY NOT SAFE FOR LIFE
*edit 2: Decided not to direct link to it for the sake of not wanting to incur the wrath of the moderators.*
Links can be found here: <snip>

Maybe it's the camera angles or something. Regardless, the hammer video didn't shock me in the slightest.

Are you ****ing kidding me? You know those guys who made that film are in jail for killing 21 people?

Anyway, I'm reporting the above post with the links as I don't want this to turn into a snuff thread

How can you not be shocked by video evidence of a brutal murder? I mean, that's somebody's life.

Good Christ. I was already wincing before the page had even loaded.
