I'm not saying it will happen, i'm saying I'd love it to happen. Wenger is too stingey to do a deal.

Just because of the day thats in it.

In the first 13 games of his final season, Rafa had 20 points, out of the CL and out of the League Cup by this day in 2009. That included 5 losses.

BR has 16 points. 3 losses.

I dont recall too many people calling for Rafas head in November 09.

I actually think there were some morans wanting him gone then

No I didnt? I said our league form was poor after he got injured & our league finishing position was poor?

Pretty sure you said the league form after Lucas got injured was really Kenny's fault because Lucas was injured. Apologises if that's wrong though.

Arsenal cannot pay his wages under their current structure. He's already on way more than Arsenals top earner. Not happening.

While I am willing and eager to give Rodgers time, I wish he would keep his trap shut and focus on improving things. Once he has done that and the minnows of the Premier League stop seeing us as a soft touch, he can say and claim whatever the **** he wants.

Minnows like Norwich, Wigan and Reading?

3 teams have beaten us this season. Arsenal, United and West Brom. Are any of them a disgrace when you look at the table as it stands right now?

To be honest, I am getting increasingly sick of people like your self blindingly saying that everything is ****ing rosy and taking pops at Alan or Lloyd for having an opposing view. Both have been consistent in their views and to be honest, they are closer to the truth than most of the planks posting complete nonsense here!

Today's result, in the context of us playing a way from home and Swansea actually being a good team, was grand. The performance was pretty poor but ultimately, it is about results.

In the context of it being about results, we have been largely ****e. Yes, we are getting better but our results have been nowhere near good enough.

But really are we far off the points you thought we'd have at this stage?

Posters were going on about 4 points from Swansea and Spurs as a decent return, its actually an excellent return for any club in the PL, sometimes I wonder about expectations.

    Why did we sack Rafa?

So Christian Purslow could play real life football manager .

anyone else hear a reverse beeper going off.

Look DBnumpty move along and stop trying to play nicey nicey like the last time you tried to troll (disgustingly by the way) and then blamed in on your mate taking your phone.
That excuse is now exhausted so best to leave now before the mods read your post from the last day you tried this stunt.

Arsenal could/would easily pay 120k. Sure RVP was on more than that last season. As was Henry and Sol Campbell back in the day.

Arsenal have and have for several years a far higher wage bill than most teams barring the two oil clubs and United.

That's because even the shít players at Arsenal earn a decent wage rather than the big earners being on massive money

Because the constant change in what is acceptable position-wise is pathetic.

    That is why.

    3 points from 4th.

    5 points from 5th...etc etc.

I never said anything about me being mugged, now your just putting words in my mouth. All I said was Suarez might not stick around unless Liverpool make CL, and I would love for us to sign him chillax Leiva :(

So you can't provide a source for Arsenal paying big wages?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,206 ✭✭✭✭amiable

    One or the other mate?

Theres a table around somewhere with Arsenal in 3rd/4th for wages in the league. I remember reading old reports that Henry, Campbell and RVP were all on 100k plus.

Lads andy just scored a goal for west ham we should definately recall him from his loan there

Average wages and top end wages are two different things. If all the poorer players at arsenal are at better wages than than the poor players st other clubs it brings up the average. Do you really need a maths lesson?

They all could have been on 100k a week but that all changed for arsenal when they built the stadium . They have a wage cap in the region of 80 k .
Arsenal’s chairman Peter Hill-Wood on the contract they offered walcott .
