Bleugh! That could have lasted all week and it would have been 50/50 and nil-nil.

Apart from Saurez we have nothing up front. That wont change until the window.

    We played OK today.

The same old story for liverpool :( Arsenal and everton only draw yesterday and we fail to gain points on them. The sooner the better january come and hopefully buy a decent striker because it's the same old story if suarez don't score we struggle to get goals.

    Not good enough today.

Suarez is carrying the club at the minute.

Rodgers has underperformed hugely thus far & our league position at in Dec virtually is just horrendous & inexcusable.

I knew today was going to be a bad day when I woke up and read John Aldridge advocating that we buy Daniel Sturridge....f*ck you John Aldridge.

Atleast enrique isint as bad anymore and suarez still is not suspended, nobody was poor really. Biggest stalemate of a game ever

Keep Suarez quiet and that's it, we are snookered.

Good to see you get behind the manager. Win and you say nothing, a draw away and you're here slating him.

    Also, it's still November btw!

Another draw......unbeaten in x games good but doesn't really mean a lot if 75% of those matches are draws

Glad we're on 8 unbeaten, but that game turned out to be very winnable. Swansea's confidence was shook after half time. Ah well; at least they didn't sneak one in at the end. Would have absolutely loved 3pts from today.

What could BR have done today to change the outcome ?? Answer, not a whole lot.

We need to sit tight, build confidence get as many points as possible and wait for re-enforcements in Jan

I've discussed some positives of Rodgers time in charge but the simple fact is our league position is ****ing shocking.

I don't think that Swansea did anything particularly to keep him quiet, it was our own tactics that snookered him unfortunately.

How is it shocking when you look at the mess we were in at the end of last season and we have a manager who is bringing in a whole new phiosophy and was let down by the club in the transfer window.

Judge him at the end of the season, we're only 5 points off 5th.

Subbed Gerrard at half time and left Cole on the bench.

Suso and Shelvey should have been the subs to come on.

We are 1 point behind the 8th place finish we managed last season. We are 2 points behind last seasons points average.

It's been a poor start, but it's getting better. We are getting harder to beat, harder to score against and we are scoring more goals.

Are we worse than last season? Certainly not by much.
Are we better than last season? Not yet

You are another who doesn't seem to understand the idea of a strategy and anything beyond the here and now.

This philosphy/style thing is a load of sh*te, they are professional footballers it shouldn't be that hard to essentially copy Barcelona with this i think we wll always struggle to score. The lack of pressing we do at times is shocking

    We aren't copying Barcelona.

Agreed i am not really a fan of passing teams to death but the one part i was looking forward to was the pressing (6 second rule etc) and a high line.

Neither of these have materialized, its disappointing.

We all have our opinions on the team and subs. Cole played very well during the week so no harm giving him a run. Suso is a huge talent but he wasn't great last week. It's not like we are leaving messi on the4 bench!!

The main point to remember is that we have limited options.

Ill rephrase to quote Rodgers "pass teams to death". The change in system cant be used as an excuse, there are problems in the system that dont seem to be progressing.

Thought Enrique looked good today, he tries to make things happen and seems to be really enjoying himself, shame about the offside, was close.

Must have been a bit of a kick in the teeth for downing today

At this point who knows. But we need options. When we make a sub we usually weaken the team.

    Hunntalar
    Walcott
    Bring Carrol back

...and we can dream about the likes of Lorente, cavani and the likes.

    Watch today's game back.

We had Swansea pressed back for a lot of today's game and they struggled to do anything other than lob to our midfielders.

    The problems are:
    1) We aren't keeping it up for the whole game. That will come with experience and discipline.
    2) When the opposition do pass through us we have little protection for the defense.
