People were coming in to my local Lidl for their calendars with NO coupon and were very put out when told they needed to present a coupon

They had a stand just beside the checkouts selling Advent Calenders 99c each.

I assumed these were the ones and took one to checkout and told your man I have a coupon for this.

He said oh their not the ones, and gave me a similar looking one from under the counter.

When I got home and opened it up, there was no calender, just a clear bubble sheet with little small pain flat chocolates about 30 of em which all taste the same.

Some numbers and squares on the outside carton.

Bit of a con job to be honest.

Thanks, I did have a quick look around for a thread on this, but didn't think to look in the freebies thread for some strange reason.
Got mine too today, and the guy didn't even look at the voucher - he just handed me the calendar. Might go back tomorrow and try get one for my other kid, so they don't have to fight for it :)

I wonder if they accept a half printed b&w voucher,my colour ink is gone and it printed off (kind of) in black & white, the barcode is the only really visible part.

umm... the box WAS the calender. that's what an advent calender is. The clue was the numbers on the outside.

Dont worry Danjo-xx...its not all bad.

At least you found out that there is lots of chocolate inside the advent calender.

Bring it back to Lidl and ask for one that has 31 numbers on it....tell them yours is missing some numbers on it.

See what they say to you....;):pac::D
