Galaxy S2 Screen Keeps Turning On

I've a Samsung Galaxy S2, and the screen keeps coming on, no matter how long you set the timer for. I did a hard reset and completely wiped all the user data on it but to no avail. The only thing is that it was originally on T-Mobile Austria so there's some factory apps that can't be uninstalled that could be causing it.

However, I've read that this is a regular bug with android. Any advice? My battery drains in hours.

Is your phone rooted ?

I'm not 100% certain, it was unlocked by one of the chinese shops so I'm not sure what method they used. Would the fact it's rooted be the cause?

Could also be a problem with the usb port. Had to send mine away for the same reason and also because 'car mode' kept on popping up.
