Mine would have to be mistakenly sending a text to my Mother instead of girlfriend telling her I was masturbating thinking of her. If only there was a way of recalling texts.

Worst was a friend of mine sending "Dave" a text about "Danny's" girlfriend basically saying how much a total c*nt she is and how pathetically whipped Danny is. Needless to say he sent it to Danny by mistake.

Not so much embarrassing more a lesson learned.....

Back when I was a young teenager, I was after having a disagreement with a Friend over something silly but at the time was fuming and needed to take my anger out and rant.
So I write a long text about how this friend was a selfish b*tch, and how I couldn't stand her and bla bla bla (basically calling the girl every bad word under the sun)

Was meant to send it to another Friend but accidentally sent it to the Friend I was ranting about :o
She knew straight away it was about her.

Needless to say she didn't speak to me again, don't blame her either  looking back it was a right c*nt thing to do !

To this day I check I always double check my phone before sending a text.

I was talking to my girlfriend at the time, and there was a football match starting, which my best friend and I had been waiting to watch. I was texting him that I was trying to get rid of her and I'd see him ASAP, and accidentally sent it to her. Didn't even realise until her phone buzzed 2 seconds later.

I don't think that's going to be beaten.

The only thing thats beating that is if your mother posts about how she texted you back with something similar.

Not a text but the worst thing i have down on my phone was accident send 100+ friend requests on the Facebook app in one button press to all my phone contacts :(

There is a feature on the iPhone app where you can sync your phone contacts and it matches phone numbers in you contacts to FB profiles...but there is an "Add All" button which when showing my buddies i hit by accident....sending facebook requests to people at work, ex's, girls i met at a bar whos number i got but never called, my plumber, my hairdresser, neighbors, etc....SOCIAL MEDIA SUICIDE!!!

The amount of awkward PMs i got was insane.

Randomers from the bar "Who are you? How do i know you?". Lots added me and removed me once they had no clue who i was.

Ex's who accepted, were either like "Oh hi, surprised you contacted me, how or you?" or decline the request, making the me look like i wanted to get back in contact and turning me down then, awkward either way.

I now friends with a lot of people from work and neighbours who i never ever wanted to add.

My plumber rejected it...making it too awkward for me to call him up for some work, so i had to find a new plumber lol.

Sent my OH a text stating that we should Rendezvous at a certain location for some hanky panky.

Could not beleive it when she turned up instead of the other one, but had a great night of passion which probably saved our relationship. Thank God.

Sent a "Do you fancy a pint 2nite?" text to my hot boss instead of a friend of mine as they were beside each other on the contact list. She replied "Yeah Love to .... xx" and it led to alot of sex during 'over time'

Oh no wait, It actually led to her replying "Who is this" Me saying my name and department, and then some awkward apologies.........and a **** fantasy :D

In secondary school when I was bored in class I used to play a game with my friend. Basically we'd just say random stuff, except it had to be useful and have to words (i.e. "coffee machine", "post box", etc.). If we spent too long thinking about it, you lost. Sometimes we used to do it by text as well.

Needless to say I ended up sending the words TRAFFIC WARDEN (written in capitals) as a single text to someone I barely knew. That person must've been very confused.

My other half managed to get a hold of my phone and changed the name of his contact details to "mam". Got a text from "mam" saying "thinking about you in bed tonight, touching myself". I was so horrified, I broke down in tears in front of the OH. He was unsure whether to cry or laugh and he then admitted he had changed the contact name and the text was a joke from him.

My parents are separated and I have always struggled with the thought of my mam ever going out with someone else. My OH is a c*nt sometimes :o

Had hooked up with a friend of mine called Niamh about 11 years ago, I was quite keen on her. I started working directly for the owner of the company about two weeks before the 'text'.
I started talking to another company about working for them, had done some contract work for them and they needed someone to look after it. So they made me an offer. I texted Niamh say 'hey hows it going? hope all is well, got offered a job today think I will take it' .... unfortunately the owner of the company's name was Niall!
Searched for NIA and hit send... need less to say my phone was ringing within about 20s.

Damn you alphabet and the way you are organised

Years ago I wrote a text about this guy I really fancied, to send it to my friend. I went on and on about how sexy he was, his hair was so cute etc etc and then, of course, I accidently sent it to him. It was around the time when mobile phones were relatively new to Ireland and I remember desperately ringing Eircell Customer Care and asking them could they recall the message!
Worst part was, he rejected me and I was in the same class as him in college.
I double check the number when I send a text now

Quite mundane compared to others but...

Had had a long day. Was texting the oh, when my boss text me. I promptly reply to the boss and continue texting the oh. Or so I thought. I had mistakenly sent the boss a text meant for the oh saying that my female co worker whom was being a bitch "she smells like fish and all the c**t".

Cringe :(. Luckily still have the job :)
