I know there was confusion from earlier reports but then the Direct last week seems to confirm they're pretty much gone.

I suppose since the friend codes were tied to the system/game, they couldn't have multiple accounts per system as they plan on having.

I'd imagine that when the update is installed, you will have to make a username then and assign it to a particular Mii, and go from there.

Yeah at least the beta testers will find any initial problems.

Have to laugh at them complaining about TVii not being available at launch. Try not knowing if you'll ever get it!

So do you think they'll have a lot of server issues on Sunday? Everyone downloading the update on day 1. AC3 has an update as well

Yeah me again.
Going by the livestream, it looks like the update will be required to pick up the Hard Drive and SD Card. Seems more and more is included in that as time goes on.

They haven't announced when they'll be in stores. Not until the WiiU is compatible with 2 I suppose, whenever that is. If you need a replacement for whatever reason before then you have to contact Nintendo.

And yep it's region locked.

Didn't get to see a lot of live stream last night are wii games playable via game pad only?? Ie can u play wii games without being in front of the tv??

No, it essentially goes into Wii emulation mode and can only be played on the tv. Same with Virtual Console/Wiiware for the moment

check out IGNs review of it. they say its far more than a mere tech demo much more of a full game than wii sports ever was

February in Japan, probably April or March in Europe and America.

I really wasn't expecting anyone to buy it, you're not getting the black?

The story with nintendoland is it's fun if you're having a party with 5 people.
Don't bother if you're going to play it primarily alone.

GameStop have said they wont be doing
a midnight launch unless it gets a significant increase in preorders.

HMV might do one as they've stopped taking orders as all their stock has been reserved.

apparently zombiu got a 4.5 from gamespot and ONM have it a 9.2

Edge gave it a 7/10

i figured zombiu get in the 70 mark but it does seem opinions is quite mixed

not a big fan of gamespot to be honest. think their review team is fairly poor. edge is mor concerning but onm ,while an official magazine so tends to be easier on exclusives, is enough to say to me itis gonna be an aquired taste so you will either love or hate it and there will be little in the way of inbetween

I would've gone with Gamestop, but their pricing wasn't (isn't?) competitive.

Couple things to note. For some reason, the address mentions Mickey and the video review is gone from the site. Mustn't have been allowed to post them in the first place. ANd as you said, you couldn't find the review since it seems only a direct link works
