    Has anyone seen RTE News web headline about redundancies at Chartered Accountants Ireland and the fact that the head guy there earns something like 360 grand a year! its no wonder their fees are a rip off!!

    Am just submitting for my membership status and had to laugh at the 'benefits' listed by the Institute to try and entice me to become a member quicker and to pay up my fees:

    So for €870, (plus another 570 in Jan), I get:

    Access to a search engine to search for accountancy topics
    Their informative magazine delivered to your door
    An option to browse CPD both online and offline (what's that? a better way to spend more money on them?)
    A news email that I'm expecting is the exact same as the one I get now on a weekly basis
    Access to ISAs & IAS and technical guidance.

    I know what you're thinking! Bargain!!!

    But oh well - not much I can do about it now...
