The man love for Chicharito is at an all time high I'd say...

Wait until he has a quiet game against Norwich and is caught offside 4 times while we're 1-0 down to a goal from that lump, Grant Holt.

His all round ability has improved considerable this seaon. Plus, he seems to be playing off the defender to perfection this season.

It small things like that in the training ground that can make a difference.

I love players who can score goals from all types of situations and Chico can do that.

This is my favourite Chicharito goal, just the reaction from the players and fans when he scored.

Was behind the goal for that game...the noise was incredible!..some experience for 1st time at OT

Was the best atmosphere I was ever at for a game at OT myself, maybe bar Arsenal in 04/05.

The season ticket people here have more likely seen few better ones(Barcelona 2008 springs to mind), but not too many more I say.

Plus, he seems to be playing off the defender to perfection this season.

This is the biggest improvement he needed to make, and it looks like he's made it.

Fair play to him, because at the end of last season I'd say he was in danger of being ousted completely by Welbeck, but now he seems have moved himself up from 4th to 3rd choice, behind RVP/Rooney.

As things stand Chico is far better striker then Welbeck. I like Welbeck though and he will improve, but Chico should be playing before Welbeck up front imo.

He merits that on his performances this season.

Hi guys, long time lurker, 1st time posting.

Just in regards to Chic, absolutely love him as a player, pure honest professional who we can all see is working hard to improve his game.

I got a little worried at the end of last season that we were distancing ourselves from him and he would be heading for the exit :(.

It's great to see that he is again showing his form and desire, which should easily see him bag 15+ goals this season for us.

Should keep on proving what a great piece of business he really was! :)

(all jokes aside) To think Bebe cost more than Chico....it's just madness. What a bargain Chico was, especially when you look at the money 2 clubs wasted on so-called "proven strikers" around Christmas time that same year :pac:

United taking positive steps towards debt reduction
United's gross debt has been cut to £359.7m after the owners 'retired' a further £62.6m-worth of bonds during the first financial quarter.

It has been estimated that overall income will reach £350m to £360m over the entire financial year to June 2013, thanks mainly to commercial developments with sponsorship, including a seven-year £357m shirt deal with General Motors.

    Link
Fulham have won the race to sign Irish teenage sensation Noe Baba ahead of competition from Manchester United, Sunderland and Celtic.

The 16-year-old defender opted for the London club after being convinced their recruitment and academy set-up would give him a better platform to progress.

United headed a list of 16 clubs chasing the Cameroon-born kid who plays for Castlebar Celtic in County Mayo, but the presence of Fulham's Malcolm Elias, Steve Wigley, Huw Jennings and Stewart Henderson swayed his mind.

The quartet were key figures at Southampton in the production and development of players such as Wayne Bridge, Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.

Although they went on to separate jobs they reunited at Craven Cottage this summer and their reputation is growing once again.

Fulham will formalise details on Thursday and Baba, who has already passed a medical and agreed a contract, will join from January for a fee of around £130,000.

Baba, who only turned 16 in August, was born in Cameroon and moved to Ireland with his family where he became the first African to captain an Irish age-group team when he led the Under 17s.

He was called into the Republic of Ireland Under 19 squad in October and can play centre-back, defensive midfield or full-back.

apparently his demands were just obscene (his father is his agent) and United told him to take a hike.

    Irish wonderkid?

For every wonderkid there is 99 that never materialise.

Hope he does become a star, but if he does he will declare for Cameroon(wont blame him either, we have done it)

Have to admit but it's a much prettier picture than 2yrs ago.
It has taken over 7yrs and £550mil in interest and fees to get to this position.

But all-in-all the Glazers have kept UTD funded and at the top of the domestic league over the same period.

I despised G&H whilst at LFC and I think the leveraged buy out model of football clubs is poison.

Do you think there will ever be a day that UTD are relatively debt free and running purely on its own revenues, as there is no reason it can't judging by recent commercial deals? Or will the Glazers always look to mortgage out t a certain extent?

I really hope we become debt free in the future. I would even sleep easy if we got it under 100million.

For that to happen though United need to keep winning titles and do well in Europe.

Doing as well as possible will hopefully be the quick fire way to get the debt down asap. For every win in the group stage you get close to 1 Million. All these little things add up in the end.

United do run purely on its own revenues.
Problem is, is that those revenues are also used to pay off the debts incurred by the Glazers.
Can you imagine the buying power the club will have, if the day ever comes where they are debt free and then are free to flex their financial muscle in the transfer market.

Was that our new boy scoring for Chile tonight yeh? Anyone got a link to the goal?

Joe Hart played another blinder tonight, didn't see the first two Sweden goals but he was totally at fault for the second too, imagine if that was DDG in a league match he'd be slaughtered by the British tabloid media, when it's their own no 1 they develop Alzheimers, and Hart was totally at fault for the Spurs goal at the weekend.

Good shotstopper but not the world class keeper some make him out to be. Good for a controversial post match interview though. I reckon De Gea will eventually turn out to be a better keeper.

Lets not forget our finacnes took a bit hit last year when we dropped out of the CL in the group stages which makes this latest news even more impressive. I think the Glazers are making good headway.

Anyone care to hazard a guess at a date when we will be debt free?
