3-0 up and 76 minutes gone.

Was very tempted to put few quid on us at 7/2. Thought was good price at time, but never got on.

Playing very well and great response after last week.

4-0 Handling. First goal by Hibs. Wotherspoon made it though

In fairness Motherwell should of had goal that was clearly over the line and soft Peno.

Take bit of luck though we were due it.

A farcical performance from the referee who ended up subbing himself out of embarrassment probably. However we definitely deserved the win, if not the four goals. Wotherspoon was my man of the match - it is great to see players who stagnated under Calderwood growing in confidence every game under Fenlon. Cairney and Claros again looked excellent.

Friday night kick off also provided the first and probably last opportunity to watch hibs on "Ireland's biggest outdoor screen" :D

    highlights

In november we have home games against St Mirren, United and Aberdeen, with Dundee and St Johnstone away, no reason we cant get at least 12 points from the month.

I be disappointed if we lost more then 1 game from that the way we have been playing far.

tbh i thought fenlon was going to sink at one stage. he deserves great credit for steadying the ship.

whats the hibees thinking of griffiths? hes a numbskull no doubt but hes a good finisher. does everyone want him to stay or is opinion divided because of his 'brain farts'?

Want him to stay no doubt about it.

He may be bit loose in the head, but in saying that he has knuckled down this season and we are reaping the rewards.

In saying all this the league table is compacted compared to other years for rest of us outside the OF.

Were Hibs to lose 2/3 games could drop down good few places.

I be happy with Top 4. Although deep down I would love to say higher.

he has indeed, especially after the heavy defeat in the cup final by hearts, the pressure was really on from the start of the season for hibs to do better and its going well so far.

Hibs v Hearts in Scottish Cup at Easter Road.

Think we owe them a hammering and a half.

Massive game today - probably our biggest test so far. It could prove a marker of what kind of season it is to be for Hibs. Dundee United seem to have found a bit of form in the last couple of weeks and have most of their best players fit again, and we have a shocking record against them in recent seasons.

The always entertaining Craig Thompson as ref, and the Rudi Skacel and Griffiths factors should make this a tense one

Predicting an optimistic 3-2 Hibs (a steal at 28/1) providing Thompson doesnt have a meltdown early doors, with Griffiths and Skacel among the goals.

I totally agree. You cant base season on 1 game, but this may tell us how far we have come since last season.

Still think Dundee United will be the team to beat to get into second. A draw would be good result.

Anybody watching Football's Next Star? The lads played Hibs and won 2 nil. Pat Fenlon was there and said he hoped to nick a couple of the players from Celtic if they were rejected.

Not seen it. The Youth setup is really is what is keeping us above water these days. Made tidy profit over the last few years from it. If Irish lads do intend to play for Hibs they will do lot worse for their career anyway.

    No.:)

Some Hearts fans may say I am bitter, but there few reasons why I feel no sympathy.( and every SPL club feels the same going by their fan forums)

They been overspending severely for at least 5/6 years now
The debts have been well published to public, but yet they still went crazy
But the reason I have zero sympathy is because the Fans have done sweet FA about it and have actually loved it thinking they get away with it.

I would have total sympathy if this was done over course of season or 2, or if the fans even remotely came out and slammed the club for its failures. They have done anything but.

Cheated their way to success basically.

I was about to compliment Hibs on a good defensive display so far. I think I jinxed ye!

The build up for yer 2nd goal was very good. Fenlon will be furious with conceding so quickly and so easily after going 2-0 up and looking comfortable.

Yes was poor there. Playing well we just have tendency to keep teams in games.

We have improved on that since Fenlon came in tbf, but needs more work. Will come hopefully.

I remember a few Hibs games under Calderwood, its a vast improvement in organisation, discipline & confidence. DUTD's goal just shows a lapse of concentration can be punished heavily, its gone from a fairly comfortable game to a battle for ye. It gives Fenlon a good reason for 'more laps lads!' in training tomorrow :pac:

    Skacel was onside there!

    Hibs fans will love that!

What a strike by Skacel. Very unlucky.
