I just learned that there are actually 6 candidates running for the Presidency in the US...

Is it not kind of sad that 4 of them have probably never been mentioned outside of the US, and stand about as much hope of winning as I do of getting a girlfriend? :(

    Can you not avoid him?

In a class of approx. 70 people, not easily :L

Gary Johnson has been mentioned a fair bit here and there, even on this site. He needs 5% of the vote to make the Libertarian party candidates for the next election I believe. That would be great, as US politics is a two party race all the time.

It's just the media will probably whitewash the coverage with Obama - Romney. Obviously very understandable given it's the most important aspect. Hopefully he can do it though.

I can't think of the other 3 at all. Outside the 2 main ones, it's very much a fringe vote.

Starting to think I may have hit a nerve or something in my finger yesterday when I cut it. I can't really bend it at all and it's unbelievably and sometimes unbearably painful, even with painkillers. It also seems to like to start bleeding if my hand isn't held up, so walking anywhere is becoming quite messy. Oh dear, looks like I may need to get this checked out. Talked to the pharmacist this morning and he said that it was the worst he'd seen in a long time, didn't even understand how it was possible until I said I was training to be a chef. Also have my practical tomorrow and work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's going to be a fun few days.

    That's awful!!

I'm fairly sure that there's a whole lot of nerve endings in your fingertips so that could explain the really bad pain.

Thought I'd done really good in a quiz when it turns out I haven't. :( I mean, it's not the worst grade ever it's just my expectations were higher. Felt disappointed and felt even worse when I saw that my friend got an A1 in it! It's funny I don't even have the 'go out every night college lifestyle' because I live at home and I still manage to get crappy grades!

Grrrr sadness and stuff, why don't you just go away for once. You've been there for as long as I remember... I hate feeling down. I kind of want to tell people, but I'm scared of worrying them.. I guess it's happened before, and they up and left... :(

Just had to be the bearer of horrible news. That someone in the family died. Such a horrible feeling. Feel helpless and guilty and rotten. And just awful... :(

Having a major house party in my apartment tonight and I am beginning to get worried. The numbers are slowly multiplying and I'm afraid it's going to get out of control :O

Loads of work to do, but I've developed a cold which comes with a headache panadol can't seem to shake off. I wouldn't mind taking the day off so much but I lost Monday to that exam, and I didn't get much done yesterday since I was feeling a bit off then as well, and I've got to work tomorrow and got plans for the weekend. Thinking of calling in sick, but I feel bad doing so when I'm not actually too sick to work.

Have to do a presentation with a group of about 10 in front of my class, and got one tiny question to present, which has a one line answer, which will take about 10 seconds to give. So somehow I have to turn this 10 second answer into about 2 minutes worth of presentation. And email it to our group leader by tonight, and I haven't a clue what to do it on. And what makes it worse again, it's the last question, and my topic will have been covered by the people presenting before me. So...

"The answer to this question, requires the consideration of many, many factors. Number 1, who is asking the question? Number 2, is this person looking for a specific answer, or are they looking for a more general answer? But when all these factors are taken into account, considered, re-evaluated and discussed, I think it is clear, to even the most argumentative opponent of the point, that given these considerations the answer is yes."

Learn to answer like a politician.

"Well, this issue is a multifaceted and far ranging problem(/issue). It has been scrutinized in search of a solution, one which until recently was not found. Despite this, many aspects are still not understood. It will take more funding, planning and research to fully understand this issue/problem. It is in our best interests to establish a firm grounding in this topic and learn all we can from it. In summary, [insert your one line of answer here]"

Remember to talk really slowly, Barack Obama does this well, so copy him.

EDIT: ****, wnolan beat me here, that's what I get for not refreshing. Oh well, combine the answers.

If the worst comes to the worst I'll try to combine both of these, but at the moment it's more like this:
Q: "How long is x valid for?"
    A: "A maximum of 7 days."

The first thought in my head when I woke up this morning was "evil pancakes". Real glad I don't remember that dream.

Q: "How long is x valid for?"
    A: "A maximum of 7 days."

When considering the validity of x, one first has to be aware of what x is. X is, in essence, a blah blah blah.
So to return to the original question, which was the length of time to which x would be valid, I think is important to point out that x is not valid for an infinite amount of time. There is a time limit on the validity of x, and if you don't do x before that time expires then unfortunately x will be invalid and you won't be able to do x because you are outside of that time frame. Now, if you're asking me specifically what that time frame is, well I would have to say that a lot of consideration went in to deciding what the time frame would be. Many hours of consideration, testing, discussion and focus groups into what the most appropriate term of validity would be. After all of that consideration was complete, me and my most humble colleagues arrived at a time frame which we felt was going to suit everybody as best it could, while still realising that there would be a small minority of people put out by the relative shortness of the term of validity. We decided that the term of validity should be a week, given that that is seven days. This is of course a week of real time, and weekends are included, we decided that we would allow it to be valid at weekends rather than making it invalid at weekends because people like to do x at weekends sometimes so we felt it would be more beneficial to allow people to do x at weekends rather than sticking to a strictly business day only term of validity.

Google are getting rid of Background images. What have i done to deserve this punishment. Strange thing is only up to the last 2 months they have been adding more and more photos and now their going making it more streamlined. Well i say to that f k that sh t. Having my own personal image made my account stand out. now i'm going to be like an Apple user, Some brainwashed number on a server that looks exactly like everyone else.

All the drones and me in the middle on my android ^ :pac:
    :(:(

So you're giving out about a free service reverting back to what they originally provided??

Do you really have nothing better to be complaining about?? All the problems in the world and you want to whine that you cant have a background image on your google homepage??

(Sorry if it seems like I'm attacking you, it's nothing personal but it always drives me nuts when people complain about free stuff)

Well its not the end of the world. Like I can't understand that they put in so much effort in the last few months to add photos and themes and make it personal and then they decided to make us all the same again. Like I like google changing. I'm always trying out their beta but if they had something new instead of standard drone like pages. Like I just like it to be lil unique. It's not the end of the world just I was getting used to it and its taken away. Like before it was igoogle then they brought out the background. But no doubt something new will be out. I shouldn't be complaining I just gonna miss it.

    F*cked up my ankle again.

Missed a stair and such an unbelievable crack.

    Absolute agony.

And I was only thinking last week that it was this time last year when I last made sh*t of it.
