iam 3 week behinde in the walking dead its just not as good as it was.ill get around to watch it to.
youd wanna get watching fast, season 3 has been epic, massive step up from the last 2,

but anyway another quality episode from Homeland, its nice to see dana being so conflicted on what to do,

i do think its ridiculous that mike came to the conclusion so easily that brody killed walker, could have been 100 reason for that bullet being missing, sure didnt brody shot a deer last season, he would have ised it when he came back to make sure it still works, and didnt replace the bullet, mike said it himself its a very popular bullet, i know we know that he done it, but there is no way mike could know any of that,

i do wonder what the hell does be going on in carries head some times, how she can be so patriotic yet flirts uncontrollably with a person shes knows to be a terrorist, its weird how she forms attachments with people and find it very hard to break them, is it that shes thinks keeping people on the best possible terms at all times is the best way to operate, and never show your bad side in case you end up needing them in the future,

it will be interesting to see what happens when yerman is out of surgery and know what he saw, i wonder did he see that fellas face, also seeing as the tailor made the vest id say there is definitely some type of explosives in that container, and i doubt its low grade stuff,

so what was in the box that they brought out c4? or the sniper rifile

POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING FOR NEXT WEEK
Think its definitely C4 because in the clip during the end credits showing next week Carrie can be heard saying "They have enough C4 to level an embassy, a synagogue...."

I cant believe they are maintaining this pace, can you believe we are 6 episodes in already!

MOD EDIT: Put spoilers for next week episodes in spoiler tags please.

Sorry about that. I forgot how to do it. Would it be possible to edit the site so that there is a button that allows things like spoiler tags to be added by simply pressing a button in the same way that you would add BOLD or italics?

Putting bold text above a spoiler in open view hardly helps. How about putting an actual spoiler tag around it?

Has to be a load of explosives, or a small nuke or something. The tailor was described a few times as their armourer, must be a weapon of some sort.

I re-watched that part last night and when Brody demands a lawyer, Peter says "Life is full of dissappointments" Brody then says "I'm way off the grid here, amn't I?" meaning he was well outside the normal justice system and no rules applied.

I didn't mean it like that. How did the CIA not question Peter's judgement (or mental health) if he will just stab someone like that? Someone briefly asked him if it was part of his interrogation plan and that was it

FYI.. for those who don't know how to do spoiler tags.. it's like so:
SPOILER HERE
And there's also a spoiler button under 'Advanced Reply' (as below):

Wow, another great episode. After Roya hinted there was something big at the tailor shop, I thought it was going to be rigged to explode a la the airport couple's safe house last season. So glad it was "only" shooters and that at least Peter survived (was he the only one I wonder?)

And it's been left open as to whether Brody really did warn Roya in some way, though it's also not beyond the realms of possibility that her side were keeping an eye on the place too.

Didn't Roya say they'd been watching the tailor's for a couple weeks? Why didn't they go in and get the whatever-it-is before now?

I assume they're actually going somewhere with this Dana story but I sure wish they'd get to it sooner, I'm finding it really tedious. And the hospital scene totally unbelievable.

I thought season 1 of Homeland was good without ever being brilliant, but season 2 so far has been excellent. Although I agree with a previous poster who said they hoped it wasnt going to be another "saves the day at the last minute every time" show. One of the great things about 24, for example, was that bad things happened, rather than Jack Bauer just saving everyone at the last minute (even though he always came out on top at the end of the season!). I hope Homeland learns from this.

They thought the tailor was still alive, so were waiting to snatch him up when he came back.

One of the guys with Peter was played by Seth Gilliam, who played Ellis Carver in The Wire. In Homeland, he had about two lines and was kinda looking a bit shifty. Plus Peter made a point of asking what his name was. So I'd say he'll almost definitely have survived and could play some part in the future.

I was trying to figure out if that was Carver alright. It was largely dark when he was onscreen so I wasn't 100% sure.

So Nazir's group have enough personnel to assemble their own S.W.A.T team which can take out a CIA operation.
So explain to me again why Congressman Brody was the only one that they could use to get the tailor to a safe house?

I guess they keep it entertaining enough to mask the glaring plot holes........

The safe house was rigged. I presumed they'd planned to take both of them out.

Why would they use precious explosives to kill someone and why would they kill Brody?

I noticed his name in the opening credits straight away (and may have gotten a little excited as he was one of my favourite characters). But yeah, apart from Peter asking his name (only his name and not anyone elses), he was mostly just standing around. Has to be more to his character

    Why not?
Brody didn't stick to their plan. I doubt they're the forgiving type!!

Ignore the preview at the end of the episode. They are completely misleading every time in how they are edited

I'm really enjoying it atm but I can't help but feel that the series is just going through things exceptionally fast and that it's going to burn out with this season. Not that I would have any problem with a 2 season long series that's exceptionally good but I can't imagine what kind of role Brody could play in season 3. Either they'll kill him off or have him playing a perpetual triple-agent. It feels like it's going to end up like Dexter, an originally intriguing premise that disappears up its own arse into sheer wankery.

But for the time being at least, it's pretty great. Much prefer it right now to Walking Dead and Boardwalk, the latter of which is going through a bit of a slump at the moment.

Nice spot ... thought I recognised him but the appearance was so brief that I didn't think further about it after the shoot out.

I still cant understand why Brody hasn't told the CIA about the list in the safe that he acquired - surely that's important information.

It's all playing out as if Brody has purposely been re-turned in an attempt to help pull off the real threat

well that would incriminate himself further - probably not too keen to do that!

Typical plot-holes aside, fun episode this week after the crappy interrogation one.

Will be interesting to see which direction they take the show. Wished the S.W.A.T. style baddies had killed Peter though.

Entertaining series but way too many ridiculous plot holes and last minute saves the day moments to be taken seriously as a great show imho.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,997 ✭✭✭Grimebox

I somehow have missed the majority of these gaping plots holes it seems

They haven't asked (and don't know about it) and he's not likely to offer up anything he doesn't have to.

I was really disappointed when he got shot, and then let out a big cheer when he opened his eyes :o

I think Peter has been a great addition.
