We're going to lose tonight and badly too! They were great against us at the Emirates. I have a very bad feeling about this! :(

This reminds me of Milan last season, I think they'll step up tonight.

I'm a great believer of strength through adversity but our strikers aren't scoring so we're screwed

Wouldn't blame the strikers it's the midfield that's not working

I guess now I look at it, not much is at the moment

I think we have a good midfield; actually I think we have a relatively better midfield than we did last season- with addition of Carzola and Wilshere coming back but we certainly have a problem with scoring goals.

If we had held onto van Persie, coupled with the changes in midfield, we'd be flying. We're missing a consistent goal scorer right now. Giroud and Podolski could turn out to be what we are missing but right now they aren't as consistent as van Persie was and unfortunatly still is.

Defence has been tightened up, midfield is very strong, we're just missing the goal scorer.

    We're definitely gonna win tonight.

The problem is we bought a striker that doesnt fit our system. We dont cross the ball, so why did we buy a target man? Wenger probably conceded this too, which is why he's been reluctant to start a player that cost us £12m.

Heart - we pull ourselves together and lead by Jack we restore pride in our jersey and reward the travelling fans with a gutsy display and a hard earned win ...

Head - we start nervously, concede an early goal, create SFA and whimper out - despite the efforts of two or three players like Jack, Santi & Merts ...

Reality ... best we can hope for is a draw ...

People saying that all we need is a goal scorer? Well then we shouldnt have sold RVP, we should have just kept him and let him run down his contract. The £24 million we received for him from a direct rival  wasnt worth the ****e so far this season. Was a ludicrous decision. Going into a season with two unproven Premier league strikers was always asking for trouble, they needed to be bed in for a season and thats where RVP staying would have been useful, instead we are struggling for goals. Can see Giroud getting hugely frustrated as we clearly dont play to his strengths.

Not expecting much tonight against a quality Schalke side. If we somehow come out and a play a stormer tonight, ya seriously have to question where that performance came from last Saturday?

Also Andre Santos apologised on Twitter for the jersey swap. Now if he could try and resemble an adequate left back, then he may start to get back in the fans good books. I personally think he should be dropped and sold in the January transfer window,

i agree but who'd buy him? He's a defender who can't defend or a fat winger.

I know guess we are probably stuck with him, along with players like Chamakh, Bendtner, Denilson etc, a loan deal with us paying the majority of his wages is probably the only option.

Instead of playing Santos, Wenger should just put Sagna at lb and put Jenkinson rb. I know Sagna isnt a natural there but he wont be the Sieve that Santos currently is.

Read a few weeks back he was suprise suprise struggling to make an impact and has so far been reduced to substitute appearances.

As for tonights game for once im glad to be working for it, Im not feeling one bit optimistic and and dread seeing another dire performance by the team , although I will be recording the match so hopefully they can turn things around :).

Id love to see a shake up of the team a bit Walcott and Gnabry on the wings giving us pace and skill in Gnabry, with Podolski up top, it cant be any worse than what weve seen recently so why not shake things up a little bit.

Not very good according to this article.

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-striker-nicklas-bendtner-is-prepared-1397347

Bendt out of shape: Frustrated Arsenal striker prepared to leave Juventus24 Oct 2012 22:30
'He is too strong a player to stay on the bench, so it's not good for him or for Juventus to keep him there' says Bendtner's agent

Denmark's+Nicklas+Bendtner+reacts+after+missing+a+chance+to+score+during+their+Euro+2012+Group+B+soccer+match+against+GermanyNo so great Dane? Bendtner hasn't been able to get into the Juventus teamReuters

Arsenal’s on-loan striker Nicklas Bendtner is frustrated at Juventus and could leave in January - just weeks after joining the Italian giants.
Danish striker Bendtner has struggled to get a regular game at Juventus and his agent admits they will review it again. Juventus have signed Bendtner on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy next summer.
Bendtner’s agent Tom Brooks said: “The boy is happy at Juventus, even if clearly he would like to play more. When he is on the field more regularly, he’ll be even happier.
“Why isn’t he playing? In all honesty, you’d have to ask Antonio Conte. Every player wants to play more and do his job. Nicklas has patience and respects the club, his team-mates and the decisions of the coach.
“However, he is too strong a player to stay on the bench, so it’s not good for him or for Juventus to keep him there. If it continues like this, we will consider our options. Could that be from January? We’ll talk about it over the next few weeks.
“He absolutely does not regret this decision, as he wanted to play in the Champions League and for a club of this level. It is true he turned down proposals from Siena and Fiorentina, but he couldn’t let this opportunity pass by.
“The important thing is that he starts to spend more time on the pitch so he can do his job. Everyone respects him and he never complains, but this situation is not good and, when he is out of patience, we will consider our options

I agree think we have a great midfield one if the best in the prem it's just not working at the moment

if we could play like we played against pool we'd be contenders. Alas we have to rely on Diaby for that. I'd favor getting in a more reliable replacement in Jan. who could do that Diaby job?

There is something not quite right with Arsenal, perhaps for sometime. On paper we should be able to hold our own and get a result. I think perhaps there is some backroom politics going on, and rumour that Mr. Wenger is not getting on with some of the other coaches? They need to get it sorted.

Couldnt agree more theres definitley something going on behind the scenes at the club because the team isnt performing on the pitch. The cracks started to show at home against chelsea with sloppy defensive mistakes costing us like they have in previous seasons.I think the club is directionless at the moment and if the only ambition is to get CL football every season then it could be a case of more of the same as the last 7!

More width with Walcott rather than Ramsey. Good team.

Graham Souness is right about Arsenal. We are a "nearly team" lacking 2 or 3 good players.

It's like Snakes N' Ladders. Every time we get near the top we sell our best players and slide down again. I don't see success coming with this team. We have been very weak and lacking spirit and fight. We always need to start very well because if we don't the doubts set in and heads drop.

Our brilliant away fans are being let down big-time by lack of effort from the team, manager and Board at the moment and there will soon be signs of serious disquiet if things don't improve soon.
Lets hope we show guts and ambition tonight and get a result here.
We all could do with it.

With the squad available that's the best 11, feeling confident about this!

Thats not far off our best 11 even with everyone fit. Szczesny and Gibbs being the obvious players missing. Everyone else you could argue is the first choice in that position.

Is this on RTE by any chance?

Think it's only on Sky Sports 2.
