Lads what are my options for lowering the car without making it too stiff and low for the back roads?

Ideally I dont want to spend a fortune either.

Was thinking of just getting some h&r comfort springs to try but im open to suggestions obviously.

I just dont want to spend alot and then not be able to drive the car properly?

I know I'm a bit late, but when you're talking to Keith in Alloy-wheels tomorrow, price up a H&R Cup kit too and see if the difference is something you're willing to spend.

Completely changes the car, well worth the extra few quid, and much better than cheapo Coilovers too. Wouldnt be bothered with Coilovers at all unless the car is gonna see some track time.

I'm more a 98fm/RTE Lyric kinda guy when driving. Usually have a Coldplay/Snow Patrol CD on in the car too if the CD player decides to work.

Golly, as promised earlier... Not quite a direct comparison, but these pictures were taken right before and then right after the Eibach's were fitted. So the car even settled a little lower overall, but apart from the two pics of opposite sides of the car, you can tell the difference (albeit 20mm on the front and 25mm on the rear).

Well that was it about 8 months ago...

I'm not sure after this weekends experiment it's looking quite so good anymore. :o

I'm undecided, but I think I might have overdone something, either that or the fact PlastiDip metalizer seems to reflect light more than I thought just means a blue car will always result in this happening:

@TestTransmission: I'm nearly certain I spotted your S2k lastnight @ The o2 (car park). Wasn't actually parked far from it at all, only spotted it when I was leaving.

I'm not sure either myself Dar. It looked well when it was off the car, but there's definitely a blue tint due to the reflection.

The matte black did look savage though.

looking at buying something.... i suppose this is going back on when i said i was getting a new car... but the selection i gave was crap according to people so ive being thinking about something like this...

whats to look out for on these ?

    http://www.carsireland.ie/detail.php?ad_id=856885&r=s.php%3Fm%3D53%26o%3D448%26e%3D6000%26f%3D2%26nx%3D17%26t%3D2%26yn%3D2002%26g%3D0%26z%3D-7

diesel automagic - mileage ? plenty to go into it from me ! (not delivering pizza either)

    what do we think ?

if all good i might take a swing around there tomorrow on the way to dublin.

i did do a quick check online for insurance and it comes back about 100 more expensive more than my civic. but with shopping around and actually calling i could do a lot better than that.
